大家都对愚人节并不陌生，曾记得"班长，老师找你",曾记得等到愚人节的"真挚"告白，曾记得"同学，你的鞋带掉了"……一个个小谎言在现在看来，却温馨无比，也觉得无比的纯真。
而在日本影片《愚人节》中，用艺术的手法夸大表现愚人节的谎言。在剧的开头，到处都充满着谎言的味道，缥缈得宛若不存在，但深吸一口气却能品到其中的甜意。
以怀孕之名的新田步逼婚假医生牧野亘，拿出了背包里的手沧在餐馆扫射，经历了一场餐馆混战后，新田的孩子迫不及待降生，却被牧野这个假医生所接生。在这一对的情节最后，新田小心翼翼的亲了牧野一口却说是愚人节的玩笑，而此时的牧野亮着手表和新田说四月一号已经过去，结尾的他们心灵相拥，对于都有心灵创伤的两人来说，这就是最好的结局吧。接下来的人生很长，很颓废的或者很仁渣的人生就在愚人节画上句号吧，你会遇到属于自己的人，在那一刻，你就知道，以前的黑暗终会迎来光明，所以请做个好人吧。
一对老夫妻假装贵族雇一位普通司机当他们的导游，去名贵的服装店，到平凡人经常去的汉堡店，在游轮上代未出席的自己喜欢的歌手唱歌……在汉堡店的过程中因为店员的失误，老妇人被泼到咖啡，为了不让店员过于内疚，老夫妇主动承认自己是平民，只是想庆祝老妇人癌症被治愈才假扮贵族的，这番话却让司机认为老夫妇是为了不让店员太内疚而说的善意的谎言。当老夫妇在台上唱出自己喜欢的歌的时候，老男人回忆起四月一号前医生和他说的话，他的妻子将不久于人世，也因此老男人想在愚人节这一天对妻子撒谎，让自己的妻子愉快度过剩下的时光。在甲板上，老妇人坦诚自己知道自己即将不久于人世，可她不愿意丈夫过多伤心，愿意当一个不知道自己病情的人。他们相拥，感谢对方。这一条支线是整部影片中我最感动的（我落泪了），生离别永远永远是最沉重的话题。当自己无法去改变这一事实时，还想着自己最爱的人不要因为自己的离去而过度悲伤，这种小心翼翼维护最爱的人的心是人活于世间的不懈追求吧，希望在地球上的所有人都能获得这种真心，执子之手，与子偕老。
影片中还有存在感比较弱的基友二人组…在一人知道今天是愚人节的时候，就想和自己最好的哥们开玩笑"喂，其实，我喜欢你很久了".而他的哥们却又震惊转为开心"我真的很开心，没想到你和我竟然有同样的心情"在一番乌龙中，二人终于在一起了，王子和王子过上了幸福生活。
影片中还有一位混黑土会的亲生父亲，他是一个八嘎，为了和自己的从未谋面的女儿见面以及关心她的'近况而上演一场绑架事件，当自己的女儿说想离开那个对她不闻不问的家庭去当支女的时候，这位父亲带她到妓院看支女的生活，让女儿明白支女不是正轨，是在葬送自己的人生。当女儿的母亲质问男人并要求把女儿送回家时，黑土会的老大偷偷对自己的前妻提出"多抱抱她"的请求，女孩在最后也喊出了一声"爸爸",而八嘎老爹依旧鸭子嘴硬不愿承认。看到女孩的养父为了保护女儿和女孩的亲生父亲搏斗的时候，女孩和亲生父亲明白，那个家对女孩并不苛刻，反而爱的很深。而做好准备去送的亲生父亲因为女儿帮他调了一个背包而没有手沧去掉自己要的人（有手沧的背包被新田拿走了），亲生父亲发出一声感慨"那就继续苟且偷生吧",皆大欢喜。
有一位少年在学校饱受欺负，当收到自己是"宇宙居民"要回母星的邀请函时，准备把从不敢做的事情做一遍，暴打一直欺负自己的人，吻了自己暗恋的女生，来到天台召唤母星飞船，在十二点的钟声想起被告知这一切时恶作剧，所谓的宇宙居民邀请函也是骗人的，还在最后摆了一碗鸡汤"只要你有这样的毅力就可以改变大部分现实"而少年也因为这件事变的更加坚强，坚定的喝下这碗鸡汤。但是在影片的最后，天空出现一架看起来很玄幻的飞船，我和那位少年同时发出惊叹"骗人的吧！"但是回想一下，导演就是为了证明那句"只要你有这样的毅力就可以改变大部分现实"而设置的情景，就算全地球的人都觉得这不可能实现。
在这个愚人节，谎言和真话交织一片。说谎是人的天性，请用善意的谎言对待身边的人。在这夸张如神经病一样的愚人节，我却被暖得泪流满面。
