艾在端午
①《诗经·采葛》曰：彼采葛兮，一日不见，如三月兮!彼采萧兮，一日不见，如三秋兮!彼采艾兮，一日不见，如三岁兮!其中的萧与艾都是现在的艾。艾是一年生或多年生草本，常成群生于路旁、墙脚或草坪中，叶面绿色，叶背呈灰绿色，生有绒毛。
②艾，是端午节的主角，端午节的别名艾节，就是以艾命名的。端午，又称端阳，其时正是寒暑气交互转换之时，蚊虫苍蝇滋生，细菌病毒繁殖，人易生病。古时，人们缺乏科学观念，误以为一并皆由鬼邪作祟所致，所以古人称五月为恶月或百毒月，端午为恶日。自古至今，艾在端午中受到人们的挚爱，人们用它招百福、辟邪祟、祛毒害。
③古代的一些经史书籍常有端午节悬艾人、戴艾虎、饮艾酒、食艾糕、熏艾烟、洗艾浴等民间习俗的记载。没奶年端午节之际，家家都洒扫庭除，以艾条插于门楣，悬于堂中以防蚊虫，避邪却鬼。
④据专家考证，艾用于治病已有2000多年的历史。我国现在的第一部方书，战国时期的《五十二病方》中就记载有艾的疗效与用法，以后在历代本草中均有记载。在我国盛产优质艾的湖北蕲州，至今还流传着家有三年艾，郎中不用来的谚语，孟子也说过：七年之病，求三年之艾，可见艾的药用价值。

① 在湖泊和海洋里，当藻类一生二、二生四，四省八这样漫无节制地繁殖起来的.时候，就形成了红潮。红潮来时，因藻类生长吸收了太多的氧气，致使当地的水域严重缺氧，大量水生植物窒息而，此外，红潮还会在水中释放出神经毒素，使与之接触的人感染上呼吸道和神经系统疾病，甚至患上癌症。
②一直以来，人们都对红潮束手无策，他们所能做的，只是听天由命，按事物发展盛极必衰的规律，耐心等待着红潮自己消失，但现在，科学家终于找到了一种消除红潮的办法用超声波消除藻类。
③藻类之所以能漂浮在水面，而不会沉到水底，是因为它们身体里含有一种浮力细胞，里面含有氮气气泡，它们就像藻类与生俱来的救生圈，靠着这些气泡的浮力，就使整棵植株漂浮在水面上。
④而人们就抓住了藻类的这一特点，用特定频率的超声波引起浮力细胞里的气泡共振，当共振达到一定强度，气泡就会把细胞胀破，使得藻类失去浮力的支撑而下沉。一旦失去了水面的阳光，藻类在水下很快就会亡。
⑤最近，一个英国研究小组利用三种不同频率的超声波对项圈藻进行了测试。他们发现，尽管三种频率的超声波在一定程度上都能起作用，但效果最好的是频率接近1兆赫的超声波，这个频率刚好是项圈藻中浮力细胞的共振频率。
⑥不同种类的水藻，因为大小不等，它们的共振也是不一样的。所以，这项技术可以有针对性地去除某一种类的水藻。此外，这种除藻办法不会伤及其他的水生植物，因为其他的水生植物的细胞对于超声波来说太致密了，不容易引起共振。
⑦由于高频率超声波在水中传播时，会很快被吸收，譬如1兆赫的超声波作用范围半径只有20米，所以这项技术在小范围的湖泊和池塘里，、比在动辄方圆千米的大海里更为实用。
