议论文是有套路的，要按套路“出牌”，规范写作。
1.开头直接点明论点，如考场议论文《做一个善于交流的人》：“当今社会，我们要学会交流，做一个善于交流的人。”也可通过援引事实材料的方式开篇。如考场议论文《向前再跨一步》：“我曾读过这样一则故事：一位矿工为了寻找宝石而抛弃了一切。他在一条河边整整干了五年，敲碎了成千上万块石头，但一无所获，矿工终于绝望了。可是，只要他再看一块石头——仅仅是再多检查一块石头，他就会发现他找了五年的宝石。”援引材料为议论张本。此外还可使用设问激思、引用的方式。
2.主体部分按恰当的结构形式展开论述。可按分论点展开，如考场议论文《为“曾宪梓饭后打包”叫好》：“叫好之一：‘打包’反映出的节俭精神，是企业发展、兴旺的源泉之一。叫好之二：曾宪梓打包，弘扬了节俭的传统美德，体现了对劳动成果的尊重。”围绕中心论点列出两个分论点，依次推出，各个击破，条理清楚。分论点的呈现，切忌交叉重复，宜按一定的顺序合理安排。也可按层层递进的形式展开，即选取“是什么——为什么——怎么样”的行文方式。如考场议论文《小议弄虚作假》一文。文章先举出弄虚作假的种种现象，再分析其性质、危害、阐述弄虚作假者的动机，然而亮出论点——“我们要坚决反对弄虚作假”，继而联系实际为消除弄虚作假行为开出“处方”——点明具体的措施，落实“怎么样”。行文如层层剥笋，有较强的逻辑力量。
