曾经从《读者》上看到过一个故事，令人情不自禁的发出赞美的感叹：在热闹繁忙的大街中，突然窜出一声：“站住!别跑，快…追…追。”是一位三十而立的青年，被金钱所冲昏了头脑。街上的行人愈来愈繁忙，很快，把这位青年包围了，他张皇失措，随手从人群里拉了一位妇女，那位妇女惶恐起来，青年手里拿着刀，把妇女当人质，这时，地上缓缓流出了一丝丝迹，妇女苦苦地挣扎，液慢慢地浸湿了她的衣服，原来这是位孕妇，青年浑身冷汗直冒，这个时候如果拨打120已经来不及了，但如果不报警，妇女就会接近生边缘，这时一个人挺身而出，却并没有想到这个人就是青年——一个犯罪嫌疑人。
大家的目光顿时停留驻足，他大声地说：“让我救她，让我救她，因为我是医生!”警察用怀疑的眼光看着他，但由于情况的危急，只能让他试一试。经过长时间的努力，孩子不幸流了产，但保住了妇女的性命。他的选择，就代表了自首，在那时候，他完全可以逃脱，但他选择了责任，只因为自己是个医生。之后，他也被警察逮捕了。也许这个真实的故事对于一些人来说，根本不算什么，但在我看来，这个选择决定了他以后的道路，决定了他存在的价值，这个选择需要的是勇气。责任不是强加在人身上的，而是一个人成长的内在需要。一个人是否有道德，取决的是这个人是否懂得承担责任，责任是道德的基石。作为一名高中生，责任二字更不可忽略。
一朵花的责任是向人们吐露芬芳，一滴水的责任是滋润万亩方土，一棵树的责任是为人们撑起一片绿荫，而一个人的责任便是好好活，活出精彩，活出价值。道德与责任没有不可逾越的鸿沟，有德必有责，它与我们如影随形。没有遭受到拒绝的成功是不会长久的，道德与责任似漫长的黑夜，奠定了黎明的曙光。
当一个人与道德同行，以责任为伴，则水流不腐，人进不败。
