据统计，家庭改掉不好的用水习惯就能节约70℅左右的水。而人体内的水分大约占到体重的60℅，但怎么节水呢？一、洗脸后的水，可以用来洗脚，最后再冲厕所。二、淘米水或煮过面条的水可以用来洗碗。三、养鱼的水用来浇花……
所以，水是生命之源，要节约身边每一滴水。如果人类不珍惜水资源，地球上最后一滴水将是人的眼泪！

工业的发展，在生产过程当中大量排出的废水、废气、废渣等物质通过大气、水、固体废渣的形式进入土壤；同时，耕地被人为施化肥、农药并进行污水灌溉，是大量的有害物质进入并在其中积累，从而造成土壤的污染，不再适合耕作。每形成1厘米厚表土需要100年到400年的时间；即使在人为参与、管理极好的情况下，也需要20年。全世界每年有500万公顷的土地不再适合耕作。德国、日本、硬度以及我国的人均耕地减少了一半以上。由于滥伐森林，滥垦草地，英气土壤破坏和土地流失，世界耕地表土地流失约为270亿吨一年。
与空气一样，地球上的水似乎是取之不尽的，用之不竭的。而只有淡水中的一小部分被人所实际利用。如果把全球的水看成一缸，淡水只有一汤勺，而能够被人利用的淡水只有一滴。当世界上10亿人空时，拥有水资源900亿立方米；到21世纪中期，世界人口达90多亿时，全人类也能分享在规模相当的水资源，而且水资源正在被人污染，工业服了、农药、生活行水都流向河流和浅层水。1立方米污水将造成8至10立方米的水无法使用。
