从前，有一片美丽的大森林。森林里有松树直插云天、直挺挺的杨树、精神饱满的梧桐树和其他果树。还有许多小动物们：可爱的小白兔、老实的野牛、毛绒绒的白松鼠、狡猾的狐狸等动物，他们在森林里度过了一年又一年。
但是，好景不长。
一天，一只凶猛的老虎闯进了美丽的森林，抢食物、捕猎动物，甚至自称这片森林的虎大王，让每只小动物轮流每天中午过来给他当午饭。就这样，原来生活在天堂的无忧无虑的动物们，现在好像下了可怕的地狱。
一天中午，该小白兔去当老虎的午饭了，小兔子走在路上，想自己该怎样保住性命。突然，他看见了一口井，想了想说：“我有办法了！”
小兔子到了老虎的洞里，说：“大王，我刚才在路上到这里的途中，遇见一只凶恶的老虎，他问我干什么去，我回答的是去虎大王那儿给他当午饭，谁知他一听，愤怒地说，什么大王，我才是大王，有种的让那只小老虎过来，我要打败他！大王，这怎么办？
虎大王一听，说：“呸！快带我去那里！“小兔子带老虎来到那口井边说：“大王，那只老虎就在井中。”虎大王伸头一看，果然里面有一只老虎，虎大王愤怒地朝井中的老虎吼了几声，井中的老虎也学他的样子，对他吼。虎大王一见这状况，怒了，只听见“扑通”一声，虎大王跳进井中，不一会儿，就淹了。
小兔子战胜了老虎，森林又恢复到原来的样子了：春天树木抽出纸条，百花开放；夏天绿树成荫；秋天黄叶落了地上，好似地面上铺了一层金色的地毯；冬天河面结上了冰，像一面巨大的`镜子，白色的雪给大地、花草树木盖上了白色棉被。
那只笨老虎，现在还不知道井中的老虎其实是自己的倒影。

小兔白白绞尽脑汁地在想办法。它看见树上的藤蔓，有办法了。
白白静悄悄地走到狼身边，用藤蔓缠到狼的脖子上。狼“啊”的一声，狼痛得大叫起来，摔倒在地，小兔白白像闪电一样跑走了。
真是惊险的一天啊！

下雨了，小兔没带伞，兔妈妈担心，见小兔回来了就问∶“你淋湿了没有？”

妈妈又问∶“你的蘑菇是哪里来？”
“ 是从大树下采来的”小兔说。
妈妈说小兔是聪明的孩子。

过了一会儿，灵灵躺到了沙发上，又用毛巾捂着冷敷。经过处理后，她感觉好多了。心里想：“太危险了，以后我再也不敢得意忘形了……”想着想着，灵灵进入了梦乡。
“灵灵，起来啦！灵灵。”听到呼唤声，灵灵揉了揉迷糊的眼睛，是妈妈回来了。“宝贝，是不是被开水烫到了？快让妈妈看看。”妈妈焦急地问。看着紧张的妈妈，灵灵笑着说：“放心吧，妈妈，我已经把它治好了！”兔妈妈将聪明、乖巧的孩子搂在怀里，欣慰的笑了。
