我国从2000年开始,将每年9月命名为“脑健康月”,规定9月16日为“全国脑健康日”。在“脑健康日”来临之际,北京三博脑科医院首席专家于春江教授为我们解读了脑疾病和脑健康的相关知识。

“大脑是由100亿个神经元构成的,全部脑管连接起来的长度接近17万公里,大脑是人体各个生理活动的最高调节器官,是心理思维活动的中心器官,对人体发挥着整体性的调节作用……”

大脑是一台高精密且每天都在高速运转的“机器”,随着使用年限的累积,它也会出现老化、故障、“机”甚至彻底“报废”的危机,一旦这些情况出现,人的正常生理机能就会失控,甚至危及生命。

“大脑是人体最特殊、最重要的一个器官,它的健康是不可逆的,一旦出现问题就是灾难性的。”陕西康杰医院李新华教授强调,尽管脑健康至关重要,但人们对它的重视程度还很不够。

发达国家早就认识到脑的重要意义,美国和日本都相继提出过“脑的十年”、“理解脑、保护脑、创造脑”的口号,国际脑研究组织在第四届神经科学大会上,也将21世纪定义为“脑的世纪”。
