3、蓬蒿菜味甘辛性平。早在唐代已列为食疗之品，唐代医家孙思邈在《千金方》中称之能“安心气，养脾胃，消痰饮”。蓬蒿菜有明显的平肝、清虚热作用，对肝阳上亢者如高压头昏脑胀、烦热头昏、睡眠不安及热咳有痰等证有良好的疗效。有润肠通便之功，尤宜于内热便秘者。
4、韭菜味甘辛性温。是一种良好的振奋性强壮剂，有健胃、壮阳功能。凡肾阳虚所致梦遗、滑泄、腰酸、小便频数、小儿尿床、妇女腰酸白带多者都可以常食韭菜，故又名“起阳草”，如与开洋(虾米同炒，其效更好。但内热便秘，口干舌燥者忌韭菜。韭菜昏目，有眼病者，如结膜炎等也当忌食。
5、生姜味辛性微温。日常在烧鱼、肉、鸡、鸭、虾、蟹等都要放点生姜作佐料。生姜的药效有去寒、去腥、止呕、发汗、止咳、止反胃等。生姜皮利水，可以治菌痢，热痢留姜皮，冷痢刮去姜皮。因生姜性升，不宜晚上吃，因为夜间人气收敛，故不宜反其道而升之。用生姜3片加红枣10枚煎水服，治疗脾胃虚寒的胃、十二指肠溃疡病及大便泄泻，常有高效。在此必须说明，内热偏重者及舌苔黄而干者忌食生姜。
