望天树高极了，你要抬头看它，帽子准会掉到地上。它高得连灵敏的测高器也无法测量，测了上部顾不到下部，远远望去，像一个傲然屹立的巨人。
铁刀木矮极了，谁也没有注意过它。它长了一年又一年，身高却一直在一米以下。它在望天树的对面，相比之下，简直成了侏儒。
望天树用枝条抚摸着云彩，嘲笑铁刀木：“可怜的铁刀木啊，你只配到小人国里去生活。”铁刀木不卑不亢地说：“你是比我高得多，可是我的生命力却要比你强。”“什么?什么?”望天树怒视着它，气得大声喊叫起来：“天大的笑话!我这么高这么壮，生命力难道还比不过你这个矮子?”

The Role of Mobile Phone in People's Communication
The popularity of smartphones has exerted great influence on the way people communicate, so much so that an increasing number of individuals contend that face-to-face communication is being replaced by texts and images on the mobile phone.
There are more than one angle to consider this phenomenon. On one hand, it is pleasantly acknowledged that smartphones shorten the distance between families and friends. Even people from different sides of the globe can share pictures, feelings and thoughts through various types of apps on the phone, thus building a long-distance connection. On the other hand, as the picture warns us, too much smartphone addiction interferes with people's real-life communication. Statistics show that over 70 percent of face-to-face communication consists of facial expressions and body language, which is why people should stay away from mobile phones when they have the chance to actually talk and communicate with others.
In a word, mobile phones act as an appropriate platform where people can always stay in tough however long the distance is, but a wise man should know when to put down his phone.

夏天，太阳像一个火炉似地炙烤着地面。凤凰木的叶子早已变成了深绿色，枝条也向四周扩展了许多，变成了一把绿色的大伞。当太阳透过茂密的树叶筛下一束束金光时， 美丽的凤凰花绽开了一张张笑脸，好像给凤凰木披上了红色的霞衣。
秋天，凤凰树的叶子慢慢地变成了金黄色，在微风吹拂下纷纷飘落下来， 给地面铺上了一层厚厚的金色地毯。课间十分钟，我和小伙伴们在凤凰树下尽情地玩耍、嬉闹，甭提有多高兴了。
冬天，刺骨的寒风从耳边呼呼地刮过，古老的凤凰木褪去了繁华，仿佛一个弯着腰、知识渊博的老学者，正在讲述着她一百多年来的沧桑岁月， 并勉励我们克服各种困难、勤奋学习，成为对国家有贡献的人才。
这就是我们百年老校的百年古树---凤凰木。

最近。我看了一部电视类经典诵读大赛——《国学小名士》，这个比赛从17市挑选出20个优秀选手，他们不仅不仅在国学上苦苦学习，还参加、组织过许多公益活动，他们当中，有人获得了2013年感动淄博年度人物，有人曾经去过敬老院去帮助老人，当然，还有很多很多……
这个比赛分三个环节，第一个是我爱记诗词，对弈中华古诗词。在题中，会指定1-2个字，要打出哈有这个字的诗词。选手们个个倒背如流。就像是有准备一样。
第二个环节是名家对对碰，有身着古装的小朋友出题，提问了一些古代的成语和尝试，选手们对答如流，有些我好歹能答出几个，有些我完全不知道。
第三个环节是美德大考验，这是比赛的重要环节，这就可以真实的显示出选手平常是不是可以真正做到与人为善。有些，我有的时候还可以，而有些我确是做不到。
最终，潍坊选手刘康宁成功夺冠，他的国学知识，和他的中国传统美德值得我们敬佩。

杂技团里一只会表演杂技的虎给它的同胞弟弟写了一封信，说：“杂技团里的生活舒服极了。一天三餐，都吃的是最好最好的瘦猪肉和瘦牛肉。这些肉都经过炊事员的精心挑选，不带一点肥，不带一点筋，也不带一点骨头。隔几天，还有活鸡活兔换换口味。至于喝的.，不是牛奶，就是鸡蛋花儿汤，全都送到面前，不担心风吹，不担心雨淋，更用不着累得气喘吁吁地去追赶猎物。在这儿过日子，真如同进了天堂一样。好兄弟，快来吧!我劝你也来享受享受天堂的生活。”
虎弟接到信以后，十分向往，决定到城里去看一看。
老虎进城，不用说是很危险的。虎弟摇身一变，变成了一个壮壮实实的小伙子。它来到马戏团，见门口一个大牌子上面挂着许多动物的照片。其中最大的一张，就是它哥哥的。
虎弟买了一张入场券。它迫切地想看看哥哥到底过得怎样快活。

You said in your letter that many of your classmates wore fashionableclothes, but you couldn't afford them so you felt very depressed. There are dif-ferent views on people's clothes. The followings are my ideas:
Firstly, you shouldn't put too much emphasis on physical appearance.
