“动动脑筋，我们会有办法的。”小狐狸边说边用他那毛茸茸的.大尾巴，掸去大象身上的泥土。大象呼噜噜地睡得正香。
“我们为大象准备帽子。”小鸭们嘎嘎叫着，下河摘荷叶，扎一扎，把它戴在大象头上，大象还是睡得很香。
“我们为大象准备衣服。”小鸟飞进森林，衔来一片片绿叶，把它贴在大象身上，大象仍然没有醒。
小动物们商量得喊醒他了，就齐声大喊：“大象大象快醒来，晚会就要开始啦1”
大象扇扇大耳朵，醒了。看看四周，是一群小动物；瞧瞧天上，圆圆的月亮正挂在当空。噢，今晚要开快乐晚会的呀。
“大象，你穿得这么漂亮，一定准备了很精彩的节目。”小动物们调皮地问。
大象看看自己身上，果然穿戴得很漂亮。啊，一定是小动物们帮他准备的。
“我不会演节目。”大象不安地说。
“没关系，和我们一起跳舞吧。”小动物们说，“只要你跳得开心，感到快乐就行，谁也不会笑话你的。”
大象真的和小动物们跳起来了，他扭着粗笨的身子，感到很别扭，可心里却很快乐。
