1、区分事实论据和道理论据
事实论据包括有代表性的事例、确凿的数据、可靠的史实等。所用的事例可具体，也可概括。道理论据一般包括人们公认的正确可行的道理、格言、名人、原理、定理等。一般情况下很容易区分，但有些学生把文章中凡是名人的话都作为道理论据，这是不妥的。名人的话有时包含在事实论据中，只是事实论据的一部分，而不作为证明论点的道理，这时就不能算作道理论据。
