我于是便展开了想象：有一位伐木工人，他长着木头似的脑袋。也许天生就与木头结下了缘分，他从17岁就开始伐木，靠木头造了房子；靠木头成了家；也因有了木头而喜得贵子，发了财……总之，他生命中的每一分每一秒都与树建立着联系。可以毫不夸张地说，木头比他的亲娘还亲！
也因为他随意地砍伐树木，导致了大面积的`水土流失，土壤退化；破坏了生态平衡，摧毁了小动物们的家园。我想，发生的这些事，肯定会让这个“树木手”终生难忘。
今天早晨，他又去砍伐树木了。只见他身穿蓝色工作服，头戴一顶鸭舌帽。嘴里叼着香烟，肩上扛着一柄利斧，向森林里走来。他走到一棵大树前，高挽起袖子，抡起了他那散发着银光的斧头，身体向前一倾，使劲向树干劈去。只见雷声般的一声巨响，一棵大树倒在了地上，身旁流满了“”，它“挣扎”了几下，去了。而这位伐木工人却悠然自得地笑着，心里还算计着这棵树能卖多少钱，紧接着，他又向另外一棵树进发。这时，一只啄木鸟实在是忍无可忍了。它飞到伐木工的肩上，狠狠地啄了一下伐木工的脑袋，并发出一声愤怒的鸟鸣：“这木头里一定有虫”
“哎哟”伐木工人大声呻吟道：“好痛！”晕了过去，趴在了那棵被他砍倒的树上。
啄木鸟没有停止，它将这“木头”啄出了一个“洞”，把脑袋往里面探了探，轻轻地叹了口气，原来这伐木工人头脑里长满了贪图金钱，能使人失去理智的“金钱虫”，啄木鸟毫不犹豫地做了彻底性的清除……
伐木工人醒了过来，啄木鸟语重心长地对他说：“森林为我们吸收了二氧化碳，呼出了你们人类所需的氧气，你们怎能恩将仇报，把树木置于地呢？这未免也太残忍了吧？大自然是公平的，可人类有想过大自然为什么要惩罚自己吗？我想没有，因为人们只顾自己眼前的利益！
是呀，不保护环境多么可怕，连小鸟都知道保护环境，我们为什么不能做到呢？我们应该从这则漫画得到启示，时刻提醒自己，不要浪费生活中每一份资源，不让“贪婪”、“自私”、“无知”这三只阴险可恶的大虫侵蚀了我们的思想。醒醒吧！贪婪，自私，无知的人们！让树木再次如同雨后的春笋似的从大地上拔地而起，让绿色充满世界，充满人间吧！节约资源，保护环境人人有责任！
