理想，是一个目标。它不像幻想、梦想那样虚无缥缈，那样美好；但它是实实在在的，有一点辛苦的。但当你开始一点点开始靠近它时，你会感到前所未有的满足和成就感。
我的`理想是当个作家，写出许多令人深思的书，让人记住。这个理想是从我四年级就开始存在的。那时，老师总会让我们写作文，不少同学对此怨声载道，我却是乐在其中。在写作时，将脑海里那些优美生动的语句书写在纸上，将自己的内心所想一字一句地表达出来的感觉真的很好，末了再反复推敲、修改，直到满意为止的成就感也是很好的。但作家可不是那么好当的，需要有丰富的阅历和过人的文采。为了这两点，我每天都在努力：放学后，只要没有老师留，我就早早去奶奶家，为的是能尽早见到奶奶，与奶奶聊聊过去和现在的那些事；每天写完作业，只要有时间，我就会尝试去一些作文网站上投稿，尽管我并没有成功过……
现在，我已经上六年级了，我的时间也越来越紧张了：去奶奶家的时间少到几乎没有了；到网站上投稿几乎成了一种奢望……但我仍不会放弃我的理想，而是会更加努力地向它靠近，直到成功！

Mary wants to be a fashion designer because she likes beautiful clothes and is good at drawing. Kate wants to be a gardener, she lives plants, and she wants to make the cities better. Mike would like to be a writer. He’d like to share his wonderful stories with others. Tom would like to be a cook. He’d like to cook delicious food for others. I would like to be a policeman. I want to protect the people safe。
