那是一架飞碟。在驾驶舱中坐着两个人：左边是T，我的同伴右边是U，也就是我。两个来自仙女座星系的外星人。
（一）
我盯着窗外的情景。那里有一个星球，原本应是蔚蓝色的，但现在却成了灰黄灰黄的一团。

茫茫大漠中，有一小队骆驼和人在前进。队伍极其渺小，轻易就能被沙魔埋没，但是队伍仍在向前走。
只剩一个星期。我对自己说。
（四）
“你们要去哪儿？”我问女孩。
“研究所。”她说，“大约再走二十分钟就到了。”
“研究所？”
“对。”女孩骄傲地说，“如何，沙漠终有一天会变成绿洲的！”
她的声音中充满希望与信心。我也被感染了。
可是……
只剩一个星期……
女孩身后的几个人对我扬了扬装满种子的袋子。
“他们都是研究所的。”女孩说，“对了，还没自我介绍呢。我叫雨，你好！”
“我叫U。”我说。我喜欢雨这个名字――尽管这里是不大可能会下雨了。
经过简短的介绍，我认识了这个驼队的每个人。有像雨这样的年轻人，也有在沙漠中奔波了几十年的中年人。每个人都有一个共同点――都相信沙漠会变成绿洲。
“我可以和你们一起回研究所吗？”我迫不及待地说。
“当然没问题。”一位中年人说，“可这是很苦的哟！我们整天在沙漠里流浪，种了这片地再种那片地，非常艰苦的呢。你受得了吗？”
“当然。”我坚定地注视着中年人饱经沧桑的眸子，“我和你们一样相信――沙漠总有一天会绿树成荫的。”
所有人都向我点点头。
（五）
我真的相信沙漠会变成绿洲，真的。因为，有地球人。他们的乐观和坚毅，足以办到一切。
宇宙总部决定了，一星期之后，毁灭地球……
T说得没错，的确有这样的一个决定，消息千真万确。
T也说错了，地球人一点都不愚蠢。
所谓研究所，不过是驼队中途歇脚的地方罢了。那是一座简陋的小房子，我们在那儿补充了一下给养，带上了些干粮和水，休息一会儿。然后奔赴下一个地方，去种些什么东西。再去查看前些时间的播种情况。显然，他们都已把家安在骆驼背上。
就这样，时间过去四天。
（六）
深夜，我伫立在沙漠中，凝望着漆黑的天际。一个闪闪发光的碟形物出现在空中，越来越近。随即，它降落在我面前不远的地方。
T走下飞碟，我向T走去。

第二天，我们继续劳作。
“再过几年，”女孩开心地说，“我们就可以看见它们长得高高大大的样子了。”
