白塔又名报恩塔，位于市区商业二街。建于南宋绍兴十八年（1184年），明弘治年，清光绪十四年、1983年以及1985年均有维修，迄今保存完好。塔坐西向东，砖石结构，双檐七级楼阁式，通高33。2米。塔身呈八边形，层层上收，周围还浮雕着石刻造像，人物线条流畅，栩栩如生。这座塔为泸南安抚使冯楫为报母恩而建的。每当夜晚来临，白塔四周的灯光放出光芒，整个白塔显得美丽壮观。真不愧是妈妈说的那句话：白塔的夜晚比白天漂亮多了！ 看着为报母恩而建的白塔，心潮澎拜，从几百年前的泸州劳动人民就非常推崇中国的传统美德“孝”，从而沿席到今，到以后，激励着善良的泸州人民奋发向前。
