电梯很快到了负一楼，门一开，我就立马把它关上了。一是因为我讨厌黑暗（地下停车场没有启用，很黑），二是因为我怕爸爸会丢下我不管，想快点儿坐完电梯回家。我泰然自若地站在电梯里，一会儿东看看，一会儿西望望。电梯升到了二十三楼，我在电梯中仰天长叹：“啊？这么快？我还没坐过瘾呢！幸好还要下到一楼。”这时，我又突发奇想，把所有的键又按了一遍。然后，电梯开始下降，一层一层停下，门打开又关上，仿佛在对我说着什么。我慢慢平静下来，逐渐意识到自己好像做错了什么。
电梯渐渐到了一楼，我赶紧跑出电梯间，却发现爸爸不见了。于是我焦急地跑向了车子，发现爸爸在车上等我。我暂时松了一口气。上了车，一路上爸爸一句话也没说，我也暗暗庆幸爸爸既没有使出大招“口水机关枪”来批评我，也没有使出绝招“唾沫激光炮”来数落我。到了家里，妈妈知道了这件事后，开始了“温柔教育”：“瑞啊，你想啊，坐电梯玩好像不是什么大不了的'事，但是如果发生了火灾，而你在电梯间里，多危险啊！又假如楼上有个人突发心脏病，急需送医院，可是上了电梯，每一层都停一下。22层啊，一层停10秒就是220秒，将近4分钟，心脏病人的急救‘黄金五分钟’就耽误了，一条人命可能就没了，多可怕啊！”妈妈的这番话比爸爸的“唾沫激光炮”攻击力还要强，深深地震撼了我的心。我意识到我错在哪了：虽然电梯在每层楼停的时间不长，但是如果遇到突发状况，后果将非常严重。而且，一个人要有公德心，不能随心所欲，只顾自己开心。

如果是写一个人物，我们应该围绕人物的性格选择细节。人物性格是复杂的，往往有着多个侧面，那么，要展现一个人复杂的性格，就应该从两个或者两个以上的侧面去展现，以使人物形象更加丰满而立体。如《项链》中的玛蒂尔德，既有虚荣心极强的一面，也有自尊自爱的一面，作者通过借项链和丢失项链之后的两方面细节对比展开，展现出玛蒂尔德可恨可鄙又可敬可爱的两个侧面，使得人物立体丰满，栩栩如生。
如果记叙文写作中需要围绕一个主题去叙述事实，我们依然可以采用这一章法，即用两个或两个以上不同方面的实例加以表现，通过小和大，名人和普通人，文艺界和体育界，物质和精神等等不同的方面的人物或事例，展现相同的主题或者主题的不同深度。如以“丰收”为主题的'一篇作文，一位同学就选择了两位不同的人的事例加以展现，一是选取了自己的舅舅因种植的西瓜又大又好而获得了“瓜王”的称号和后光荣回村的情节，展现新时代的农民物质上的丰收。接着又用自己在教师节那一天去看望老师，老师书房中满满一面墙上贴满了学生发来的贺卡，展现了辛勤耕耘的教师深受学生爱戴，从而获得精神上的丰收。这样从物质和精神两个层面共同展现出“丰收”的意义，给人深刻的启迪。
运用并列式结构需要注意：并列的几个内容应各自独立，但又紧紧围绕着一个中心（人物性格或主旨）；并列的各个部分必须是平行的，注意不要出现交叉或从属。
