无尽的黑夜侵蚀着我无尽的秋思，周围是可怕的静寂，我起身走到窗前。
风很冷，绕起起伏的窗帘，刺透麻木的神经，我哆嗦了一下，缩了缩脖子。外面的灯火把黑夜充斥成白昼，树叶顽强地抗着寒，光秃秃的树木瑟瑟发抖地坚持着，又终于坚持不住，栽了下来，栽在那冰冷的地上。
我吸了口冷风，为那悄然消逝的生命可怜，更为自己不理想的成绩叹息，犹如生活的希望之光已灭去，心中的火焰已停歇。我总是摆脱不了失败的困扰，犹如风雨中哭泣的百合花，失去了阳光的渴望和内心的希望。我迷茫地前行着，失落地游离着。
深夜的风无力地掀动着卧躺在地上的枯叶，翻动，再翻动，一直到大树的根下——那是生育树叶的一棵树，我忽然懂得：失去意味着新的收获，衰落意味着新的开始。一片黄叶枯烂了，毁了，受侵蚀受寒冻。当春暖花开时，它将是叠峦养分中的一员，看到这里，我竟莫名地释怀。
失败是成功之母，没有它，警钟就不会在你耳边长鸣，失败是风雨之后的阳光。想起我的生活，我的`亲人，我的世界，我的一切一切，心中顿时又点燃了希望。只要心中的明灯点燃，就像这枯黄的树叶冲破寒冬一般，只要阳光还在，我就不会停歇，纵使身陷荒漠，只要心中的希望还在，绿洲定会出现。想到这里，看向我的生活：知心的挚友、谆谆善诱的老师、满怀温暖和爱的家人，还有这不断翻动，再翻动的枯叶——不断重生的生命。
抬头看，天上又多了几颗眨动的眼睛，黑夜过后定是黎明，风雨过后定见彩虹，只要心中的希望还在，天总是会亮的。

The habit of attention becomes part of our life, if we begin early enough. I often hear grown up people say, I could not fix my attention on the sermon or book, although I wished to do so, and the reason is, the habit was not formed in youth.
If I were to live my life over again, I would pay more attention to the cultivation of the memory. I would strengthen that faculty by every possible means, and on every possible occasion. It takes a little hard work at first to remember things accurately; but memory soon helps itself, and gives very little trouble. It only needs early cultivation to become a power.
