“宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来”，大凡有作为的人，无一不与勤奋有着难解难分的渊源。
勤奋不是天生就有的，而是后天自己养成的。产生勤奋的原因有多种，有的是心怀抱负和信念，也有的是因为某种原因或在某事上受挫，从而勤勉起来。但是，只要勤于工作，就会有成功的必然。
然而，要成功，光有理想抱负是不够的，还必须拥有一定要成功的决心，再配合确切的行动，支持到底。只有下定决心，并历经学习、奋斗、成长这些实际行动，才有资格摘下成功的甜美果实。
正如华罗庚所说的：“勤能补拙是良训，一分辛劳一分才。”勤奋终能越过暂时的失败和挫折，而最后取得成功。
如果说梦想是成功的起跑线，决心是起步时的枪声，那么勤奋则如起跑者全力的奔驰，惟有坚持到最后一秒的，方能取得成功的锦旗。
居里夫人说过，不论对任何困难，都决不屈服；拿破仑认为，最困难的时候，也就是我们离成功不远的时候；达尔文心中，不屈不挠的奋斗是取得胜利的唯一道路……
名人眼中的困难是如此的渺小，是如此的鼓舞人心。这些话对于初三的我有了启迪。让我也尝试着这样去做，在尝试中真正体验到了勤奋的又一种味道。
曾记得在初三的开端我第一次参加了作文比赛，“我真的有能力参加吗？”这句话不曾一次的在我的内心回响，正在自我怀疑中爸爸给了我自信的力量，他告诉我勤奋将会提升我的能力，勤奋中绽放希望。这句话让我鼓舞，让我开始了对这次的比赛的挑战。作文的草稿写好了，但凭我的实力是不可能一次成文的，更多的.是无数次的修改。是要用比别人更多的精力，更多的时间在写好的作文上反复的修改。于是我尽可能的去一遍遍的去修改，但在后面的修改中麻木了，已经找不到什么感觉了。爸爸这时告诉了我过段时间再修改的方法。
