之前我参加读经会考，得到了六个状元，远在上海的外公外婆知道以后非常高兴，为了让我更深层的'思考古代的文人诗集，以跳脱文字粗浅的表面意像，真正学会如何欣赏唐诗，他们便花了整整三个月的时间，把电视上每周播放一次的古诗讲解，用烧录机一段一段的收录在光碟片里，还用快递把这“大费周章”的礼物寄给我。
有一次，正当我看到兴起时，却发现其中有一集似乎少了开头而难以衔接，于是感到大为扫兴，便打电话埋怨外公。事后才从妈妈口里得知，原来那天早上外公发高烧，被送到医院急诊室，没想到点滴才打到一半，却猛然想起中午十一点正播出外孙女最爱看的“诗坛讲解”。于是不听医生的勧阻，毅然拔掉点滴赶回家，不料“屋漏偏逢连夜雨”，途中竟然发生小车祸，幸好只是小擦伤，听到这里，我不禁惭愧的低下头，耳边也依稀响起，那天在电话那头外公用沙哑的声音跟我说：“妹妹呀！对不起，外公下次会注意。”此时的我再也控制不住自己，泪水有如决堤般狂泻而出。这份远渡重洋、得来不易的礼物，不但见证了外祖父母无微不至的爱， 也让我了解什么叫做幸福！
这份礼物让我爱不释手，因为它每个单元都有一个主题，例如：友谊。它不但把有关友谊的古诗一一列出，还介绍其中的共通处或特色，此外，更将其中的成语及典故延伸讲解。不仅让我们充分了解整首诗的意境，也从中体会到诗人的历史背景，真是一举数得、受益匪浅。其实，只要我们细嚼慢嚥，就能跨越时空，与诗人尽情 的对话，甚至把酒言欢，直接走入诗人的境地，与他们共享内心的世界。
外公外婆！谢谢你们这份“用心良苦”的礼物，我一定会好好珍惜及保存，并把这份爱的礼物化作无尽的资粮，伴我一路成长。
