小鸡、小猫、小狗和小山羊们选好了位置，都把鱼杆放进水中。然后，坐在草地上静静地等着鱼的上钩。这时他们的鱼杆都有了些动静。小鸡就收起鱼杆一看，原来钓到了一只活蹦乱跳的小虾；小猫连忙站起身去收鱼杆，它使劲地把鱼杆往回收，觉得鱼杆很沉很沉，但钓上来一看却是一只大乌龟；小狗见势就急忙起身把鱼杆高高地举过头顶，用力地往上翘，顺着鱼线往下一看，只见一条又大又肥的大鲤鱼在鱼钩上晃来晃去。小狗见到这么大的一条鱼高兴的不得了；小山羊见伙伴们都钓到食物，心想；我也一定能钓到。小山羊站起来，弯下腰连拖带拉把鱼杆往自己的`怀里拽，‘哈、哈’小山羊兴奋地跳了起来，小鸡、小猫和小狗们在一旁定神一看，都禁呆了。原来小山羊钓到了一只又肥又大的、有八只脚的大螃蟹。
