盼望着盼望着，坐了一夜的火车，一大早，我和爸爸妈妈、姑妈姑父还有洋洋哥哥一行6人，终于来到了我渴望见到的祖国的首都——北京。
我们的第一站是——颐和园。刚刚踏进颐和园的大门，迎面而来就是一间古香古色的楼阁，上面写着“仁寿殿”三个大字。仁寿殿前有一些古代装扮的贵妃阿姨和皇帝叔叔们，穿着古装站在门口迎接我们的到来。走过仁寿殿向右拐，我们进了德和宫，妈妈说这里是过去皇上、贵妃还有王公大臣们看戏娱乐的地方，果不其然，我看到了一个高高大大的舞台，上面有很我衣着古装的人在弹奏乐曲，听起来美妙极了。一时间，我仿佛也穿越了时空，回到了古代。
我们又继续游览，走过一段曲曲折折的小路，眼前突然一亮，一片广阔的湖水在我们面前展开，湖水又清又绿非常好看，湖水中还隐约约地倒映着着一座大山，我抬头一看，这座山可真是高大雄伟呀！真不知道它和这面湖到底叫什么。哥哥好像猜透了我的心思，充当起了小导游，说道：“这山叫”万寿山“，这湖叫”昆明湖“。”我听了哥哥的话，心想：“一定是过去的皇上希望自己长命百岁才叫万寿山吧！”
接着我们来到了颐和园中著名的景点长廊，妈妈说她上小学的时候，语文书上专门写到了长廊，听着妈妈的介绍，我边走边看，果然我发现这长廊真是十分的长，目光转向墙壁，令我感到惊讶的是，墙上有很多形状各异的小窗子，仔细瞧瞧竟然没有一幅图案是一样的，我不禁的惊叹起来，古代的建筑工人的手艺真是巧夺天工，颐和园真不愧是皇家园林啊！
接下来，我们坐上龙船向湖心岛摆渡，一座长长的大桥离我们越来越近，我细心地数了数，一共有十七桥洞子。妈妈好像知道我在想什么，就对我说：“宝贝你看，这桥有十七个孔，中间的孔最大，它的两边逐渐地变小，最后两个孔小得连小船都过不去了。”爸爸接着妈妈的话说：“这座桥的名字就叫十七孔桥，它是连接昆明湖东岸与湖心岛的一座长桥。”听着爸爸妈妈的讲解，我对十七孔桥有了更多的认识，下船走上桥，微风拂面，凉爽宜人，桥上石雕精美，每个桥栏的望柱上都雕刻着神态各异的小狮子，我看着这巧妙的十七孔桥，心中赞叹不已，心情一下子舒展起来，看来旅游真能增长不少见识呀！
