我们到西安的第二站，就是五岳之一——“西岳华山”。华山自古以险峻出名，忆及黄山的天都峰，那，已是70度，而“西岳华山”却是90度垂直上下，心中难免也有一丝怯意，“我能爬上去吗？”我心里嘀咕道。
“十一”黄金周，景点到处人山人海。当我们来到华山山脚下索道缆车处的时候，已是人头攒动。经过三小时的漫长等待，我们终于坐上了缆车。刚坐上缆车，我非常害怕，紧张地坐在缆车上，像是在空中飞舞一般，缆车被风一吹，东摇西晃，我很紧张，但还是不忘照顾妈妈，我紧握着妈妈的手说：“妈妈，有我在，别害怕。”其实，我也是在安慰自己。渐渐地，我被窗外的景色吸引了。华山的岩石是白灰色的，而黄山的岩石是黑灰色的.，如果把黄山比作一位秀气的文静女子，那么华山就是一个壮美的东北大汉。裸露的山壁上，零星地点缀着一簇簇的灌木丛，经过长年雨水的冲刷，从树丛底部流下长长的泥水痕迹，像是用硕大无比的毛笔划下的墨迹。远远望去，华山像一幅气势磅礴的山水画。
很快，我们就到达了山顶，接着我们开始往北山峰顶爬去，因为石阶很陡，所以，我不得不用双手拉着铁链往上爬。“终于爬到顶峰了！”我大叫道。在“华山论剑”处，我摆出一个武打小说里的动作招式，让妈妈拍下来。我们挤开人群，往下望去，华山变小了，像一只粗壮的豹子，静静地伏在那里；又像顶着高耸的驼峰的骆驼，在等待出发。山路上挤满了人，为了安全着想，我们没有继续爬山，在一个茶吧里坐下了，妈妈点了一杯咖啡，我要了一盒冰淇淋，我们一边吹着清冽的山风，一边欣赏着华山峻美的景色，好不惬意！
天渐渐地暗了下来，我们开始下山，排了两个小时的队，终于坐上缆车。不一会儿，就来到了山脚下。
宋代诗人寇准这样评价华山：“只有天在上，更无山与齐，”形象地写出了华山在五岳中的地位。华山此行，虽然辛苦，虽然险象环生，但华山高大险峻的身影却永远留在了我的心中。
