韩愈认为“业精于勤荒于嬉”，我不否定“勤”的重要。“勤奋才能出才干”。
著名科学家，发明家爱迪生小时候被老师视为差生，被学校开除，但经过勤奋努力，创造了1000多项发明。发明电灯时，为了寻找合适的灯丝，试验了一千多种方法，才找到了钨丝，制成了第一盏电灯。
所以，我不否认“勤”的重要，“勤”乃学生之根本，这个暑假应该多读书，多练笔。但是“勤”虽重要，“嬉”也不能忽视。
所谓“嬉”，指的是适当的玩耍，健康的游戏。
我们打个比方：如果一只鸟关在笼子里会怎么样？它天空，快乐，羽翼退化，就不会飞了。
学生也是一样的，不能“读书”，应该读一个小时书，看一会儿新闻，玩一会儿电脑，打一会儿乒乓球，锻炼身体，有益身心。
知道为什么每四十分钟要休息十分钟吗？因为学习会导致大脑疲劳，而适当的体力劳动可以缓解情绪，而且，走棋、看课外书等都可以发展智力，打篮球、乒乓球则可以锻炼身体，无缚鸡之力的.书呆子又有何用呢？即使十年寒窗，如果不懂娱乐，体质衰弱，又有什么好处呢？
这就是“嬉”的重要性。这个暑假应该写一张“暑期计划”，把“勤”与“嬉”安排得井井有条，这样的话，劳逸结合，你就可以过一个充实的暑假了！

这个夏天，烈日炎炎，如果不整天泡在水里，非得变成“巴西烤人”，要整天泡在水里，必须学会游泳，要想像水里的鱼一样须要学会蝶泳、蛙泳、自由泳……学会游泳不光是防止中暑，不是洪水中自救的方法，还可以当做避免挨打的方法，就像雨来一样，一见妈妈要来打你，看见前面有一条小河“扑通”一声扎进水里，妈妈就打不到你了。游泳在夏天可真是好处多多啊!
人生自古谁不想玩电脑，我一碰电脑就会像变了一个人似的。抓着鼠标就不放手，电脑就像块大磁铁深深地吸引着我。当天，我在电脑正得起劲，妈妈叫我去买东西我也一口回绝。在电脑的世界里是无忧无虑的，快快乐乐的。

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.
