English itself but also knowledge at large。 For example，in the last item there was such a question："Tell the full name of Great Britain and what do people call her flag。"Though I know the answer of the first part of the question，I did not know the name of the flag。 Now I know it＇s called Union Jack。So，you see，confidence and knowledge are two very important things which lead to success。 Do you think so？

自从考上重点初中的实验班，有多少同学和家长都曾羡慕我，夸赞我。“考上了重点初中的'实验班，就等于保送上了重点高中。”每当学期末回家时，耳边听到的都是这样一些说法。但想不到最终落榜了!邻村和我在同一所重点初中落榜的还有一人，可她却已经离开了自以为无颜见面的亲人。
我就有脸见人吗?白天又黑夜，黑夜又白天，我躺在床上，一百遍一千遍的扪心自问：自己没有能考上大学，出去有脸见人吗?可好不容易将我养活了15年，弄得一身都是病的母亲该怎么办呢?还有父亲，那只知勤勤恳恳，劳苦了大半辈子的父亲呢?思前想后，竟不知如何才好。
又响起了敲门声，是父亲。
父亲像做错了什么似的，低着头轻轻地推开了门，走进来;在我床前踌躇了一会，坐下来，却什么也没有说出来。也许他觉得没有什么需要说的，或者是要说的早已说过了。父亲的沉默使我感到无形的压力。偶尔一瞥，我发现父亲眼里竟含着点点泪光。我害怕面对父亲那种目光，那样一种深切悲哀的目光。
“孩子，再长的阴雨天总有放晴的日子，你不能总这样苦着自己呀!”父亲说，声音有些发颤。之后，父亲便又沉默了。沉默的父亲便长久地呆在那里。
“你休息吧。”很久，很久，父亲缓缓的起身，却打了个趔趄。父亲晃了晃肩膀稳住身子，一颗苍白的头颅深深地低下了，不易察觉地叹了口气，慢慢地转身，走出屋子，将房门又轻轻地掩上。在父亲走出房门的瞬间，我发现父亲的腰背越发弯得低了。
我眼里涌满了泪水。
“我怎么了?怎么就那么狭隘呢?怎么就那么自私呢?我这样做，对得起谁呢?”这一刻，我忽然醒悟到，原来自己竟这般不懂事!
是的，再长的阴雨天也应该有放晴的日子。
明天，明天，我就对父亲说：天晴了，我要去复读。是可敬的父亲帮我重新找到了信心和勇气。

很多时候，很多人都会为了某件事情而悔不当初，他们通常会气自己当时为什么没有怎么怎么做之类的话。其实，当事情已经过去的时候。再后悔就太晚了。它不会给我们重来一次的机会，所以，如果想要事后不后悔，就要把握住每一个机会，该出手时就出手。
你永远不知道哪一个石头丢进海里会掀起大风浪，只要我们年轻就有资本疯狂地奔跑，就算华丽地跌倒，我们可以没钱，可以没事业，但就不能没信心，所以不要挑剔工作。更不要排斥与任何人合作，要懂得珍惜机会。卑微的梦想持续燃烧也能成就一段不凡的人生。
我们不知道我们现在做的哪些是对的，哪些是错的。而当我们终于老的时候我们才知道这些，所以我们现在所做的就是尽力做好每一件事。能得到的要努力，得不到的不介意，这样无论输赢，姿态都好看，把握每一个机会，找出自己想要的到底是什么，明确自己的.目标和方向并为之去奋斗。我们就不枉此生了。
把握每一个机会，希望与信心就会并存，心存希望就会让我们不再迷茫，就算没了希望也别绝望，路往往也是一个出口。只要我们有信心。
懂得珍惜把握每一个机会，就应该勤奋，勤奋并不需要有推动力，只要你能欣赏人生。你能欣赏日出日落。你懂得珍惜，你自然会勤奋，因为你不会也不希望错过生命送给你的每一个机会！只要你心存希望与信心。
希望并不是每一个都可以实现，信心也不会随时都慷慨激昂，但至少不要让自己后悔。后悔是一种耗费精神的情绪，后悔是比损失更大的损失，比错误更大的错误，把握上天赐予的每一个机会，靠自己的努力付出，就会有所收获。它就会像点点火种燃烧成熊熊大火。发挥无限光能，不要投机取巧，以为机会不会随时敲门的。
人的一生都是寻找自己的过程，要说每一个人都特别清楚自己吗？都特别了解自己吗？或者都特别能认知自己吗？其实未必，当我们迷茫失措的时候，我们往往没有了希望与信心，机会的降临我们又如何把握呢？我想不能太冠冕堂皇了，只有靠自己才能把握一切吧！
权势再大的人，也有失势的时候，金钱再多，也有被挥霍一空的那一天，如果这样，倒不如心存希望与信心来得重要，面包会有的，一切都会有的。机会不是常常有的，拥有时不要太侥幸了。对未来最重要的就是希望与信心，成功也离你不远了吧！
