南昌的夏天真热啊!我们每天都呆在空调房间里不敢出去，真是郁闷。有天傍晚，舅舅突然对我说，如果我能在7点钟前完成地理作业，他就带我去秋水广场看音乐喷泉。我一听高兴极了，赶在7点前做完了作业。
秋水广场离舅舅家有点远，我们打了个的士过去。
今晚喷泉的第一曲音乐是《走向新时代》。泉水像一群刚刚出浴的仙女，随着优美的旋律翩翩起舞，那可真是壮观啊!到了歌声的最高潮，只见一个高高的水柱直扑云霄，就像孙悟空变长的金箍棒一样。水柱保持了数十秒才猛地跌下，溅起的`水花竟有数米高。我们朝喷泉拍了很多照片，然后骑一辆可以坐4个人的单车在附近溜达。后来，我们发现一个可以看喷泉的好位置，只是会打湿衣服——泉水像淘气的小孩，时不时地跳到我们身上来。很多游客的衣服都被打湿了，可是没有一个人退却，似乎都在享受泉水带来的清凉。在《青藏高原》那一曲时，泉水随着激昂的音乐蹦到了最高点，大概有三十层楼那么高。水柱上投映着彩色的灯光，仿佛一排排巨大的荧光棒，非常壮观。
看完音乐喷泉，我们骑车去了秋水广场南边。那里有一个“赣文化长廊”。舅舅问我：“赣是什么意思，你知道吗?”我立即回答：“赣是江西的意思，前几天在地理书上学过。”这条沿江长廊长3000米，以雕塑、浮雕、石刻、壁画、小巧园林与建筑为主，将数千年丰富多彩的赣文化呈现在人们眼前。长廊上有许多历代江西名人的塑像与文字介绍，最著名的是晋代田园诗人陶渊明，唐宋八大家中的王安石、欧阳修、曾巩，宋代著名诗人杨万里、黄庭坚，儒家理学先贤朱熹、陆九渊。舅舅告诉我这些人都是古代的文化名人，朱熹、陆九渊还到我们湖南讲过学。在赣文化长廊里，还可看到有关江西古代诗书文化、学院文化、宗教文化、市井文化等多方面的故事和传说，如“鉴真东渡”、 “滕阁妙文”等。此外，一组组真人大小、惟妙惟肖的铜雕，再现了那过去岁月里最具代表性的一些手艺人和生活场景：挑担剃头师傅正在给理完发的人掏耳屎;打箍匠正在为木盆紧铁箍;一群孩子围着一个老人用鸡毛、牙膏皮等换糖吃;在井边提水的老伯和用搓衣板洗衣服的少妇;一群正在打陀螺、踢毽子、滚铁环的孩子……

Every day, Christ had to work hard from morning till night, but still could hardly make a living.
