当空气轻微污染时，人体吸入的空气可以由鼻腔里的鼻毛除去部分灰尘，再由鼻腔里的黏液和各类支气管里的黏液将灰尘粘连住。气管和支气管内的纤毛有几千万根，它们每秒约摆动12次，像“清洁工”一样从下向上推扫呼吸道里的黏液，直至咽喉部，再通过咳嗽咳出体外。
当空气严重污染时，呼吸道的净化作用将降低，甚至完全丧失。在这种情况下，呼吸道和肺易受病菌的侵袭而患各种疾病。
由于种种原因，空气污染还在加剧。如果不能解决空气污染的问题，恐怕真有一天，人类只能带着口罩生活。

我家门前有一条清澈见底的小河，里面有好多小鱼，小虾，水草，河水不深，夏天可以去河里游泳，洗衣服，孩子们可以打水仗，周围有好多房子倒映在水中，十分美丽，使人看了就舒服。
以前我住在这里时，每天都快快乐乐的，有这条河水陪伴我，多么舒服啊!
几年之后，这里的小鱼不见了，水草了，小虾也已经不见了踪影。河水开始渐渐变得浑浊，也有了几分臭味。因此，人们开始讨厌这条河，渐渐离它远去了。河对岸的老奶奶，整天叹着气，说:‘‘哎，高楼倒是建起来了，可这小河却变得脏兮兮的，现在的社会啊!”
我们科学研究小组通过考察，发现在小河附近有家工厂，工厂每天排放了很多污水。倒置小河变脏。我们与那座工厂的老板反复商量了好多次，老板终于决定买一个污水处理器，然后，我们在小河边的土壤上插上这样一块木牌:保护小河，人人有责！
我相信，有了这些措施后，那条小河将会和以前一样清澈，那样美丽，自然。以前不见踪影的小鱼小虾都回来了，夏天有可以游泳了，水草又活过来了，这条小河又可以陪伴着我。让我每天都十分快乐。

可是眼前这小河已经被人们弄脏了。小鱼也看不见了。我想小鱼一定是被这脏水毒了。即使没有被毒的，也一定向别处逃了。它们在逃跑的时候看来应该撑一把伞，避免让人用脏物砸住，而被砸伤。我又想再这样下去，这小河一定会更加脏的。我想我们小朋友一定都喜欢干净的小河吧！总不想看到脏的小河吧！如果我们都爱护以及保护小河和周围的环境的`话那么我们就会有干净清洁的小河和环境。鱼儿也喜欢干净的河呀！
心动不如行动，那就让我们赶快行动起来吧！我们可以去扫地，捡垃圾，给花儿浇水……这样的话用不了几年，甚至几个月，我们的河就会干净起来，就会美丽起来，比原来的学校漂亮好几倍了！在这样美好的环境里，我们能够更加愉快地游戏、活动、学习、生活……

有的居民说从前河里有鱼虾，可以游泳，洗菜、洗衣服，现在变成了污水沟，就连下河洗手都不敢。我听爸爸说：“现在工业越来越发达，石井河边的厂房越来越多，随之产生的工业废水排到了石井河内。还有人们随便把垃圾扔到河里，这样给石井河带来了严重的污染。
只有禁止废水向河内排放，人们不向河内乱扔垃圾。相信石井河能再次变成我们的”水上乐园“。
