今天天气晴朗，柳枝随风飘扬，像一个穿裙子的小姑娘跳舞一样。一样诗人杨万里在溪边散步，微风吹拂着他的脸，好舒服。忽然他看到了溪上有一个渔船，渔船的船桨和撑船用的竹竿都放在一旁，中间有两个儿童休息，不一会儿，一个儿童拿出来一把伞，杨万里很好奇天空又没下雨干嘛拿伞呢，对这产生了疑问，儿童撑开伞举在天空的时候，杨万里想：也没下雨，看着样子也不像遮太阳……，忽然，杨万里一拍脑门，恍然大悟，对自己自言自语道：“怪不得没下雨都撑开了伞，原来是两个儿童不是想用伞遮太阳，而是想用伞使风让船前进呀！
杨万里说到这里，便情不自禁的笑了起来，觉得两个小孩非常聪明，也相信了“万事皆有可能”这句话呀！便扬长而去。

只见其中一位孩子从船中拿出了一把伞，杨万里心想：咦，他们这是想干什么？现在又没下雨，他们为什么要撑伞呢？这真是太奇怪了，杨万里情不自禁地上前问了问：你们这是干什么？现在又没有雨，你们为什么要撑伞呢？”哈哈哈，这你就不知道了吧，我们现在没力气摇船桨了，就用伞来借风力使船前进，嘻嘻。”小孩笑着说。
