我家养了一雌一雄两只孔雀鱼，那只雄孔雀鱼小巧玲珑，桔红色的尾巴上点辍着蓝黑色小圆斑，像孔雀的尾翎。游动的时候，他的尾巴徐徐飘动，像一位优雅的舞蹈家，在水中翩翩起舞。那只雌孔雀鱼尾巴短身体长，全身银灰色，透明的尾巴上虽然有一些花纹，但比起雄鱼就要逊色得多，它性格内向，像一位高傲的公主。
他们吃鱼食时十分有趣，总是先把身上竖起，张开小嘴向鱼食扑去，将鱼食吐出又吞进去，然后又将食物吐出。就这样反反复复，多好玩啊!吃饱后，他们就在自己的小天地里快活地玩耍，好像一对恩爱的夫妻。妈妈曾经对我说过：“它们不能分开，如果把他们分开他们就会因为孤独而去。”
