“老师不说话，肚里学问大。你们不识字，可去请教它。”同学们，你们知道谜底吗？告诉你吧，它就是字典。今天我们就举行了一场查字典比赛，大家都好好地请教了它一番。
老师出的第一题是凹、斡、棘、(.骋这几个天外来字。看着这些密密麻麻的字，我们顿时傻了眼，犹如大海捞针。还没等老师说开始，我们个个都是鼓足了架势。老师一声令下，大家就开始慌忙地查了起来。气氛一直很紧张，我们各个都手忙脚乱。看对方一帆风顺、胜券在握，我们急得挠心。我们抱怨声此起彼伏，恨不得两只脚也来帮忙。突然我听到对方小组说查完了，我们实在是甘拜下风，没想到他们能够在这么短的时间内完成。对方手舞足蹈地庆祝欢腾，而我们只有一脸的沮丧。
终于等到第二轮比赛了。虽然第一轮比赛没能赢，但在老师的鼓励下我们重拾信心，士气大振。这一次的字们更难了，就算它见过我，可我也不认识它。第一个是“箕”字，哎，怎么也查不到。于是我们跳过了它。“查到了！”我们组的一个组员兴奋
地叫了起来。之后的几个字也被接二连三地找到了。对方则只能望洋兴叹，看着我们脸上的喜悦感叹太难太难。在对方的抱怨声中，我们查到了“箕”字。这最后一个字的出现也宣告了我们的胜利。
第一轮虽然我们没能赢，但是我们第二轮立即就反败为胜了！比赛就在我们的欢呼声中落下了帷幕。我们学到的不仅仅是如何去快速地查字典，更重要的是我们学会了团结合作。我相信这种团队合作精神将在我以后的生活和学习中发挥更大的作用。

星期五下午，我班举行了一场激烈的。大家赛前带上字典做好了充分的准备。只听铃声一响，大家把字典快速翻到音节表处只等比赛开始。第一轮比赛开始了，只听老师刚念完第一个字，大家赶快查找，只听"唰唰"的翻字典声此起彼伏。我还没找到就听到评委们喊1、2、3。前几名同学役获胜。真快呀！白老师又依次念了9个字，大家每次都是赶快查找，教室里只能听到"唰唰"的字典声和评委的报数声。第一轮比赛结束了，我只有一次在前十名当中查到，看来我平常要多练习查字典，才能熟能生巧呀！
大家休息了一会儿，又开始了第二轮四人小组比赛。只听老师刚念完第一个字，我们小组赶快找，只见我们小组的一个孩子找到了，她赶快举手，可是很遗憾，我们小组有一个同学没带字典，所以我们组只有荣誉没有奖励，不过，我想：虽然我们不能奖励，但我们可以当作练习，让我查字典速度更快点儿。"三个字查完，第二轮比赛结束了。
最后，第三轮八个小组比赛开始了，老师刚念完第一个字。我们小组还没有人查到，其他小组已经有人查到了，没有取上名次。又念了第二个字，很遗憾，我们还是没有取上名次，大家都有点儿失望，看来只有下次努力了！
比赛结束了，虽然我只得了一个大拇指奖，可我并不灰心，相信我多次联系，熟能生巧，下次一定争取得更多的大拇指奖，我一定会努力的。
