一天，万能刀在路上散步。突然，万能刀听到远处有人叫它。它四处张望，也不见有人，于是它随着声音走过去，终于找到呼唤它的冬菇了。它温柔地说：“小猫，你找我有什么事。”小猫回答说：“我现在住的房子太旧了，暴风雨来了肯定支撑不住，我想建一间新房子。木我都买好了，但是这些木头长短不一，增加了我建房子的难度。请你帮我把这些木锯成适当的长度可以吗？”万能刀答应了，一接到任务后就马上帮小猫把木头锯成适当的长度。然后又把剩下的木拿回店里回收再利用。
万能刀刚回到店里，电话就响了。这次是小狗打来求助电话。小狗急匆匆地说：“我要帮小村庄里的全部树木修剪，可我的工具都坏了，请你来帮我修剪一下吧！”万能刀觉得事态紧迫，挂了电话之后赶紧开着飞机火速到达现场。来到树林后，万能刀马上拿自己的大剪刀和木据来修剪树木。只见它一下跳上梯子，一下又钻进树枝当中，左一剪，右一锯……没过多久就把全部树木修剪完了。万能刀看着整齐划一的树木，擦擦额头上的汗，满意地笑了。
第二天，万能刀接到了一个新任务——植树。万能刀拿出一把大铲子，一点一点地挖出一个大洞，然后把小树苗放在洞里，再把土填进去，然后亚平、浇水……
刚植完树，万能刀还没来得及休息，又接到了一个新任务，就是装架子。原来是小象家的架子坏子，得拿出一把钻，在墙上钻了几个洞，把架子放在适当位置，再拧螺丝就完成了。
自从万能刀来了这个小村庄，帮了村民不少忙，小家都很喜欢它。

Lion was awakened from sleep by a Mouse running over his face. Rising up in anger, he caught him and was about to kill him, when the Mouse piteously entreated, saying： “If you would only spare my life, I would be sure to repay your kindness.” The Lion laughed and let him go.

Fear is only six inches deep. Now it is up to you whether you want to go on cling to the branch and turn your life into a nightmare, or whether you would love to leave the branch and stand on your feet.
