风筝源于春秋时代，至今已有2000余年。相传“墨子为木鸢，三年而成，飞一日而败。”就是说，墨子研究了三年，终于用木头制成了一只木鸟，但这只木鸟只飞了一天就坏了。墨子制造的这只“木鸢”就是中国最早的风筝。至东汉期间，蔡伦发明造纸术后，民间开始以纸做风筝，称为“纸鸢”。最早的风筝并不是玩具，而是用于军事、通讯上。唐代晚期，因为有人在风筝上加入了琴弦，风一吹，就发出像古筝那样的声音，于是就有了 “风筝”的叫法。

山东潍坊是我国著名的风筝之都，那里每年都要举行一次国际风筝节，可热闹了。

我还知道风筝是怎么做的呢！首先准备好工具:浆糊, 纸、刀，用的材料是:竹篾,纱纸条,马拉纸。

先将竹篾浸水,令竹篾软身,再用刀将竹篾破开,约三份之一粗度,然后修半形,因为稍后要将竹篾贴在马拉纸上,如果太粗,竹篾会拉破纸张,同时竹篾太粗,纱纸条就贴不稳.将修好的竹篾裁成两条长短适当的长度,约为(16吋及23吋.下一步,就将马拉纸裁成一个四方,长约24吋,马拉纸是一种非常粗糙的纸张,最适合作风筝。

此时就可以将竹篾贴在纸上,但要记住,将长长的.竹篾,用纱纸扎在短的三份之一,然后慢慢屈曲,直至长竹篾两端触到纸的对角之上将它贴好。

最后一步就将风筝的尾巴贴在风筝的下方,较好线与风筝的角度后,就可起放。风筝的尾巴是平衡风筝的主要工具,当风筝乘风而上之时,如果一方较重,风筝就会偏向这方,而尾巴最好比较长,因为越长就会有一个重量令风筝头部升起,使全身受风,平衡了斜的一方。风筝的丝线可以用牛皮线,棉线,玻璃线等线辘可分圆线辘及排辘将线扎在风筝上,要成一斜角。

回到家，吃完饭，赶紧拿来两张纸、四根竹片、胶水、剪刀、线，便做起风筝来。先把两张纸用胶水粘好，像是一个机器人，再把四根竹片粘在纸上，然后给风筝粘上小尾巴，最后把线套在纸上，风筝终于做好了，我叫它A1号，但觉得一个风筝不好玩，就又做了A2号。然后我在家里试飞了几次，效果还不错，风筝飞起来了。
