五显镇离爷爷家大概有八、九里，全靠这条山路沟通。已经是早春，微风轻拂着脸，一点也不冷。大树像卫士一样笔直地站在山路的两旁，路两旁不时见到漂亮的农家楼房，家家户户贴着大红春联，人们穿着新衣裳，气呵呵互相拜年；路边有时望见的是一望无际的稻田和油菜地。绿油油的油菜地里嫩黄的油菜花含苞待放；稻田虽是枯黄的，但绿色也藏不住，小草们早已迫不急待地从探出头张望着，这哪像前年正月初一我们第一回到五显镇“探险”时的情景啊？当时大雪初晴，天特别冷，山川、河流、树木、房屋，铺天盖地罩上一层白雪袄。我们踩着一尺多厚大雪，边爬山路边打雪仗。到达五显镇时个个累得筋疲力尽，妈妈奖励每人一串糖葫芦庆祝“探险”成功。这回妈妈特设“五元钱大奖”，号召一路找“奇观”，找到“最佳奇观”者有权决定用这五元购买什么东西。
