Above all, I wanted to help my mother with housework. I also wished to read many hooks which my teachers had recommended. However, at home, my mother would never let me do anything. She completely deprived me of sharing her work. As soon as I opened a book to read,she would sit down beside me and ask me about all kinds of things at the college. To please her,I told her one thing after another,and soon I forgot all about books. Even when I was actually reading,she would, now and then,insist that I should eat an egg or drink a cup of tea. When I left home at the end of the vacation, not a thing in my plan had been carried out. But I felt very happy. I believed much more deeply than before in the old saying: Home, sweet home. 我急忙起床，在客厅环视了一圈，看到桌上有一张字条，上面是妈妈那熟悉的字迹：“对不起，宝贝！我临时要开会，晚上会很晚才回家。爸爸也要下午5点才能回来。冰箱里有吐司面包和玉米片，午餐你就先应付一下了哦。另外，记得收衣服，把衣服折好后放进衣柜第二层抽屉里，还要再打扫一下屋子，最后写完所有作业，就能玩喽！”
“唉，什么叫午餐‘先应付一下’啊？面包和玉米片我都不喜欢吃啊！”我抱着早饭碗，嘀咕着。
吃完早饭后，我立马开始做家务。先扫大房间，再扫客厅，接着整理垃圾桶……忽然，窗外的.天黑了，一眼望去天空阴云密布，紧接着，黄豆大的雨点不由分说就“哗哗哗”从天而降。“完了，衣服还没收！”我急忙奔向阳台，“唉，还是晚了一步，全湿了！”把衣服一股脑儿全部拎进来后，它们立即被我请进了烘干机。
我继续打扫完剩下的房间。不一会儿，“咕咕……咕咕……”肚子又闹起“空城计”。我走进厨房，打开了冰箱，“哇！太好了，还有速冻水饺呢！我最爱吃了，哈哈！”卷起衣袖，系上围裙，锅里倒上水，等沸腾后我再小心翼翼地将冻饺子放进去。过了几分钟，透过透明的玻璃锅盖，就能看见饺子们在欢乐地跳舞了！
“嗯，妈妈教过我，饺子煮开后，要再加些冷水，继续煮，直到煮透煮熟。那好吧，再添一碗凉水，你们就继续跳舞吧，我先看会儿电视！”三两步跳到客厅沙发上，我迫不及待地打开了电视机……
“哎呀，坏了！过时间了！”猛然，我想起锅里还煮着饺子呢！等我揭开锅，饺子们已经不跳舞了，它们像玩累的孩子，把自己的白外衣都脱了，全部漂在水面上，一定是又热又累，都改仰泳了！
“唉……原来煮个饺子也不容易啊！”
