你们知道苹果为什么会“生锈”吗?一开始，我也不知道，但是通过一次科学小实验，让我知道了谜底。那一次，我削了个苹果，分成了两半，由于吃是过慢，一半吃完了，是十五分钟之后，当我拿起第二块时，刚送往嘴边时，看到一个可怕的画面：我的苹果呢，这是我的苹果吗，怎么会变成这样，见鬼了!眼前呈现出一个半圆铁锈色的东西，我对这个东西极其好奇，所以我又削了一个苹果，放在一旁，过了一阵子，我再过来看，原来一个乳白色的大苹果，现在变成一个大锈球。
这件事搞得我心神不宁的，我跑过去问了我的爸爸，爸爸跟我说：“切开的苹果，在空气中生锈主要与苹果中的单宁(一种多元酚美物质被氧化有关，其次还与苹果中的亚铁离子被氧化成铁离子有关，而盐水可以起到隔离空气的作用，能减缓氧化。”
听了爸爸的话，我半惑半疑，我于是又拿起了一个苹果，削了皮，再找一个碗往碗里倒些水再放些盐，把苹果剁成小块小块的，放入盐水中，用透明膜盖起来，半个小时后，以出苹果放入嘴里，原先的苹果不但没有变色，反而口味更佳。真是让我太开心了。
小实验，大收获，我们应该多从小事观察，我从这个小实验中，不仅增长了知识，而且从中我也得到了很大的快乐，看来，我们要我做小实验哦!
