The fourth step is to put the filling in the middle of a wrapping. Then press the wrapping tight and a jiaozi is ready. When you have made enough Jiaozi, the next step is to boil them.
That is the last step. Put a pot of water on the stove. When the water is boiling, put the Jiaozi one by one into the water and cover the pot. When steam comes out, add more cold water and when it boils again add cold water a second time. When you see the Jiaozi floating in boiling water, you can put them in bowls or plates, get the chopsticks and be ready to eat.

今天是元宵。大街小巷张灯结彩，喜气洋洋。爸爸提议包饺子。妈妈说：“行，不过包好饺子得取个名字。这样既开心又有气氛。”“太棒了！”我举双手赞成。
你看，爸爸干得多起劲啊！他揉好面，把面切成两半，然后把其中一半搓成了约30厘米长的圆条。等他把圆长条揪成一个个拇指大小的面团时，妈妈已经把香喷喷的`馅儿炒好了。只见爸爸右手拿擀面杖，左手有节奏地移动面团儿。不一会儿，一个个饺子皮“诞生”了。

该下锅了，我挤到妈妈身边，抢着把饺子一个个扔进了锅里，溅起了一朵朵热腾腾的小水花。不一会儿，饺子出锅了，一个个饺子浮在汤汁中，还真像一个个可爱的胖娃娃。咦，这里怎么还有一只破了肚皮的“鸭子”，还有一张笑破了的“脸”。我有些惭愧，这肯定是我的“龙城飞将”和“笑口常开”。但转念一想，这可是我费了九牛二虎之力包的饺子，还取了名字，我又觉得它是世界上最漂亮，最好吃的饺子。
饺子宴开始了，我们一家三口吃得不亦乐乎，屋子里不时传来阵阵笑声。

Usually, we use meat such as beef or mutton, and some vegetables such as cabbage or carrots for filling. You may actually choose whatever you like to put into it. We must chop those things into small pieces. Then put some salt, oil and other condiments into it and stir it evenly. When all these preparations are done, we can start making dumplings.
First put a spoonful of filling in the center of the wrapper. Then stick the two opposite sides together and then the rest. Don' t just cover the filling with the wrappers. The best shape of dumplings is that of a ship, because when they are boiling in the pan, they look like ships sailing in the sea. The smell can make your mouth water.

妈妈见我跑来，猜出来我是过来学包饺子的，便开始边包边讲：“首先拿起一张圆圆的饺子皮，轻轻地放在手心里，用筷子夹些黏糊糊的肉馅放在中间，然后把它对折合上，使劲捏边缘。”妈妈说着，一个可爱的胖乎乎的小饺子就包好了。我学着妈妈的样子，慢吞吞地包了起来。两分钟后，我好不容易包完一个，放到了我这边的篮子里，可我一看妈妈那边的篮子，已经有六个刚包好的小饺子了！我再一看妈妈包的形状：个个都很饱满，和将军一样，精神！可再一看我包的：一个个懒洋洋的，还扁扁的，就和饿了三天的小孩的肚子似的，都站不起来！看来，我要多练习练习了。
包了四十分钟，饺子就可以下锅了。煮了十分钟左右，一个个饺子都漂到了水面上，这证明能吃了。妈妈把它们都盛到了碗里，开饭了！

那天，阿姨家来客人，我和弟弟想了很多好玩的游戏来欢迎他，其中一个很好玩，叫真假饺子，就是一盘里放的是肉，另一盘放的是牛奶糖，让客人猜哪盘是肉。我和弟弟一个包肉饺，一个包牛奶糖饺，忙得不亦乐乎！我先把饺子皮放在手上，轻轻地往里面放肉，然后用食指沾上水，涂抹在边缘，可我一捏，便“肉末四溅”了！我不甘心，再拿一张皮，放上肉，一捏，还是如此！怎么办？客人快来了！我急得像热锅上的蚂蚁——团团转，这时，大救星老妈来了，她说：“捏的时候不可以那么用力，还不能捏中间，要在边缘上轻捏！”我点点头，重新把一张皮放在手上，加点肉末，轻轻地在边缘沾点水，再慢慢地捏上，可刚捏上，便散了架：饺子“头破肉流”，还弄得黏糊糊的。是哪里出了差错呢？我百思不得其解，我心想：会不会饺子太薄了？或者是肉太多了？第二次我试着少放点儿肉，当我把它捏好时，却成了“四不像”：饺子不像饺子，包子不像包子，更不像面包、汤圆。不过，我总算做到了不散架，不漏肉，这真是值得鼓励呀！后来我越包越顺手，饺子包得真是龙飞凤舞呀！
后来，这位客人还是没猜出来，结果吃了个牛奶糖饺，把牙咯掉了，不过他还是表扬我们有创意，我们听了喜滋滋的！
这次包饺子让我尝到了喜悦和称赞，我真希望再包一个牛奶糖饺子呀！
