在我的家乡，就有这样一条溪水。早晨，溪水远远地从远方奔来若隐若现，若有若无，时显得大大方方，舒舒展展。
到了正午，弯弯曲曲的清流原水在太阳下本是个大龙潭，水势汹涌，颇有“龙威”。到了九道弯这儿，越发跌宕多姿了，端急处飞珠溅玉，平缓处银湖泻波，错落有致，铮然有声。
黄昏时，天空中淋淋沥沥的下着雨。雨细如发丝，轻盈似飞天，整条溪水就迷离在那片蒙蒙溪水中，好像一位躲在珠帘后的少女，隐隐约约，只见其窈窕身段，不见其秀丽的面庞，让人产生一种“身不能到，心向往之”的渴望。
然而，几年后，随着人类无情的破坏。那条溪水渐渐迷失方向。这天，我又来到溪水边，它已发生了翻天覆地的大变化；它被乌黑浑浊的外衣困着，早晨不能面向玫瑰色的照样微笑，深夜时不能和涓涓的月儿谈心，它明亮晶莹的泪珠，渐渐变成忧郁的深蓝色，时时凄咽着忧伤的调子。
随着地球母亲的身体越发衰弱，保护坏境越来越受到人们的光注和重视；为了不让溪水忧郁的调子传遍天涯为了让我们可爱的家园更加美丽富饶……我们应该团结起来，保护宇宙唯一的奇迹，保护我们唯一的家园――地球。

但是，自上世纪中后期开始，水污染日趋严重。苏州河，以其较典型的工业污水造成水体污染，严重黑臭而全国“闻名”。城市绿化包括公共绿化和建筑绿化，在通常的印象里，绿化是百利而无一害的，然而，由于设计不甚合理，绿化同样会为城市水体的面源污染“出力”。笔者发现，在绿化周边一圈没有设置便于集水下渗的地形造型，造成在大雨时，大量雨水未及时下渗而形成径流进入城市雨水管渠。如果此时，绿化区刚施肥或喷洒虫剂不久，那么，肥料，虫剂将随雨水进入管网，最终进入水体，对水体造成污染。据国外文献可知，露天停车场的地表水径流中含有多种污染物。
人类的不文明行为，也给水体带来了许多污染。例如：直接向河流湖泊中随手乱扔垃圾；随地乱扔果皮等。这些行为将会为水带来氨氢，脂肪，油脂等污染物，甚至是金属离子。
所以，我们应该珍惜水资源，减少水污染，不乱丢果皮和乱洒农药。节约淋浴用水，沐浴露的水不要乱排放入河水中。切勿向河流中随意倾倒污水和杂物；减少使用洗洁精，购买无磷的洗涤用品。
