我的端午节假期的初中英语作文【一】
我的家乡在太谷，家乡的端午节从农历四月二十八日就拉开序幕了。
四月二十八日，是太谷城的庙会，又叫“粽叶会”。这次庙会的主打商品就是粽叶、枣、糯米这些包粽子的材料。庙会上大车小辆拉的全是粽叶，所以这天街上飘的全是粽叶味。
端午节前夕，太奶奶、太姥姥这些老人的主要工作就是给小孩子们做香囊。用各色的布料做成“心形”、“三角形”、“元宝形”的样子，里面装上五谷杂粮、艾草、中草药材等，然后用五色线给孩子们拴在手上，挂在衣服上。妈妈说，那可以避瘟疫，所以，端午节前后孩子们身上也散发着一种淡淡的艾草味。
端午节前夕，街上会出现许多小地摊，主要卖各种剪纸，有“剪刀”、有“叼着小虫的鸡”、有“牛” ……红红的剪纸衬上黄黄的底子，显得格外抢眼。说是贴在门口可以消灾避祸。
端午节前夕，街上也会出现卖艾草的小商贩。但更多的是亲朋好友在农村或其他地方采上的相互送。他们把艾草插在大门口、放在电梯里、挂在楼梯扶手上、立在房门后、站在房门上。据电脑博士说这些艾草也能避邪。所以，一进门就能闻见一股艾草味，真爽。
端午节正日，每家都会吃一顿丰盛的午饭，饭菜各不相同，但都少不了一种主食，那就是——粽子。每年端午节，姥姥都会做好多的粽子吃，吃不完的还会送给亲朋好友。有的小朋友还会带几个粽子到学校和老师同学共享，所以端午节前后连教室里也弥漫着一股粽子的香味。
家乡的端午节，虽然没有龙舟赛，不喝雄黄酒。但多少年传承下来的各种风俗丰富了人们的生活，增进了人们的情谊。所以，这些宝贵民俗文化是值得我们好好珍惜的！

中国有许许多多的传统节日，如：元旦节、清明节、母亲节、劳动节、端午节、儿童节等其他节日，其中我最喜欢的就是端午节，因为我端午节过得最快乐。
今天是农历五月初五，是端午节。听爸爸说：“战国时期有个爱国人士，他叫屈原。”屈原是文学史上第一位伟大的爱国诗人，屈原曾多次劝国君楚怀王联齐抗秦，但昏庸无能楚怀王听信小人，以致国破家。屈原听到自己国家将要灭亡，便抱着石头自投旧罗江自尽。当地百姓闻讯马上划船捞救，直行洞庭湖，终不见屈原尸体，老百姓为 了不让鱼儿吃掉屈原的尸体，家家户户包粽子，然后把粽子投入旧罗江，让鱼儿吃饱，这样就不能吃到屈原的尸体。端午节就这样慢慢的传下来。端午节还要赛龙舟、带彩带线和挂香包等形式来纪念屈原。”爸爸说完，我似懂非懂地点了点头。
“快过来吖，包粽子咯!”妈妈喊道。我们连忙跑出去，我拿了两片粽叶，学着妈妈那样包，可包来包去一点都不像妈妈包的那样，反而把糯米洒了一地。我气地把粽叶丢在地上。妈妈说道：“做事不能做一半就跑了，要慢慢来，首先要把粽叶绕成一个三角行的样子，然后把糯米放进去。”我按照妈妈说是那样做，包成第一个粽子我很高兴的说我会包粽子了啊，后来连续包了好几个。这时，妈妈边说边包地说：“在我们老家过端午节要插艾叶草、叶菖蒲、赛龙舟、饮雄黄酒等习俗。”包好了粽子，我们就煮起来了。过了半个多钟粽子也煮熟了，妈妈就拿给我吃，哇!真香，好好吃哦，这是我们包的粽子，不由也不腻。”几分钟过去了，一吊粽子被我们吃完了。
哇!今天过得真快，让我明白了很多知识，也知道了许多民间风俗，让我感到很开心很快乐地过完这个端午节。

端午节这一天，家家户户都要挂艾草，吃粽子，看龙舟比赛……今年的端午节我们一家人一起到内海湾观看龙舟比赛。比赛场地可真热闹，来来往往的人可真多！比赛刚一开始，每一队的龙舟都争先恐后地往前划过去，龙舟像箭一样飞快地向前冲。队员们呐喊着：“加油，加油……”声声入耳，助威声回荡在内海湾的海面上。终点就在前面，百舸争流，大家奋力向前划着浆。“噢，胜利了！”——在大家的欢呼声中，比赛结束了。队员们的脸上都露出了胜利的笑容。
看完龙舟比赛，我们一家人回到家里就能吃到奶奶包的粽子，我们真幸福！这是我家难忘的端午节。

端午节，中国人的三大节日之一。连续假日开始，妈妈便急忙开车载我们回xx过节，因为按照惯例，一到节日，我们便要开始「不停拜」！
一大早迷迷糊糊便被爸妈从床上叫起来，先去拜土地公，再回家拜神明，接着便是拜祖先。一边烧香，我家爸爸开始大会考，我和哥哥当然事先准备好了！我大声回答：「端午节是要纪念战国时代的爱国诗人屈原来的！」哥哥接着说：「因为屈原投江，大家怕鱼虾吃他，便将米饭丢进江里，这就是包粽子的由来。」「哇！你们今天真棒，那今天我们要好好感谢屈原先生。」「为什么？」我和哥哥百思不解、异口同声的问。妈妈便笑着说：「因为当初若不是他心情不好投汨罗江自，就不会有这个假日，就不能有假放，也不会有好吃的粽子，所以我们理所当然要好好的感谢屈原先生。」
爸爸笑着要妈妈别乱教我们，接着爸爸便告诉我们另一个传统—到山上躲xx贼。因为东汉末年的xx贼作乱，村民为了躲避屠，便家家户户挂起艾草，演变成现在端午节挂艾草来驱凶避邪，爸爸还说很久以前他的阿祖真的有到山上躲起来呢！
烧完纸钱，吃完香喷喷的粽子，爸爸便载着我们到xx山上转转—「躲xx贼」。看到满山刚结果的柚子树，望着一颗颗小小的柚子，我在心中便默默祈祷「亲爱的的屈原先生，在这属于您的节日，请保佑我家柚子能顺利丰收！
