大海是每个人都向往的地方，我也不例外。今年暑假，我来到美丽的椰风寨海滩，领略大海的无限风光。
刚下车，一阵咸咸的海风扑面而来。放眼望去是无边无际的蔚蓝色海洋。我迫不及待地脱了鞋，赤脚走在沙滩上。沙子被炽热的太阳烘烤得发烫，踩在上面热乎乎的。直到走近大海，沙子才变得湿漉漉的，又软又绵，浪花轻抚着我的脚趾，舒服极了。一股海浪涌了上来，我躲闪不及，喝了几口海水，海水又咸又涩，但这不和谐的小音符却丝毫削减不了我向往大海的热情。海浪像个顽皮的孩子跟我追逐着，嬉戏着，海水溅湿了我的衣服，太凉快了，我感觉到无比的惬意。
玩累了，我在沙滩上慢慢走着，看碧波时而泛起朵朵涟漪，聆听浪花拍打着海岸的声音。我想这一定是大自然在为海岸上度假的人们演奏着悦耳动听的音乐，人们都在尽情地享受着大海的风情，把平时的烦恼抛到了九霄云外。沙滩上有人堆沙堡，有人拾贝壳，虽然人不多，却使这片金黄的沙滩多了一份宁静，少了一份喧嚣。
蓝天、大海、沙滩、椰子树，一派迷人的亚热带风光。明年我还会来这里，欣赏这如诗如画的美景。

日出在海边，大海在海边，沙滩在海边。海边那么美，大家都十分向往去的地方。而这次，我真的去了！
我去了深圳，海边就是必定要去的一站。那次我们十几个人，在包车里，挨挨挤挤地坐了又坐，好不容易熬过了几个时辰。下了车，我们急速向前奔去，看到凶猛的海浪，感受到了柔和的沙滩。辽阔的大海，使我真想换上衣服，去旅游一圈。我坐进游泳圈，漂在海上，海浪一上来。让我冲上了岸，还“品尝”了一口海水。你绝对想不到那海水有多咸，就像一口水呈放了一包盐似的。我坐在海岸上冲了一会儿，终于，我鼓起勇气，戴上游泳圈，让爸爸带我到离海岸远一点儿的地方，但让我害怕，急着喊着上岸。上了岸，海风吹在身上，冷飕飕的！我们觉得挖上一个坑，把我“埋”在下面。先是挺不舒服的，后来还是很暖和的。
洗干净了身上的沙，我们还是坐上那个包车，回了家。幸好我们没有了下来看日出，那天下起了雨，根本没有日出柔美的线条。我们依依不舍。

Partly autobiographical, the novel abounds with social criticism and sinister gothic elements.
