由此你可以毫不怀疑《关键第四号》的抢钱初衷，早在原作漫画还未完结之时（全六册）就已曝出将要改编电一影的消息。精明的梦工厂等一早就看 准了他的混搭模一式，只要稍加耕作没准儿会填补甚至抢占《暮光》之后的同类型影片市场。打着迈克尔贝监制旗号而来的《第四号》显然是有备而来，但这是否可以 视为一种先天缺乏底气的'做法也说不定。导演卡卢索擅长打造悬疑类动作片，之前的《鹰眼》《后窗惊魂》《机动人》说实话都算不上是多么出彩的作品：一方面 是陷入絮叨的文戏之中，另一方面又在动作戏方面极度不给力。很遗憾的是，这个一毛一病继续延续到了本片当中。要知道这首先是一部科幻动作电一影，开场没有大阵 仗，剧情背景又靠一大段陈述来交代，这个硬伤基本贯彻了全片。节奏沉缓，缺乏带劲儿的动作场面穿插，完全沉醉在一片苍白无力的爱情，友情，亲情，成长戏的 铺垫上。我们首先可以怀疑的是制作成本太低吗？NO，六千万美元的投资，本土取景，没有一线大牌儿，完全可以给出更多的特效场景与动作戏。然而除了零星的 小打小闹之外，前一个多小时你似乎忘记了这部电一影本身应该具备的卖点。
显然导演与编剧在故事进展的脉络调度上完全失控，可以看得出最后二十分钟与之前的电一影简直是像两部不同的片子。最终大战的确够精彩够 HI，节奏一下子变得飞快，打斗升级酷炫，也可以看得出投资的确都铺在了这方面的特效制作上，不过如果能平均的将其分摊在影片的各个节点，把平铺直叙的结 构重新拼接，我们是不是可以看到一部更赞的电一影呢？这总比让已经昏昏欲睡的人们突如其来的高|潮戏面前惊醒更加保险。事实上，你可以在这部电一影中看到老掉牙 的各种混搭元素：剧集《超人前传》，《暮光之城》，超能力上你也能觅到《X战警》甚至《钢铁侠》的影子。作为一个有着原本的系列，头一部改编电一影对于 后续是否继续上马有着至关重要的意义。去年的《波西杰克逊与神火之盗》的彻底玩完是个很好的例子，雄心勃勃的计划也暂时中止。看着本片在北美上映8天（2 月18号北美上映）仅有2500万美元入账的状况，不知其续集能不能继续拍下去。
