从我们呱呱坠地起，我们的一生就犹如一轮巨大的钟表，表盘上不在是刻度，而是“理想”，“挫折”，“成功”……这样一些文字，而那指针的准确度便关系到我们的一生……
子在川上曰：“逝者如斯夫”，的确，时间有时让人捉摸不透，时间是无形的，而就在这无形的时间里，我们的时钟也随着时光的流逝，开始转动了。
时间的指针指向了“挫折”，于是在我们蹒跚学步时，命运之神发挥它的神力，“挫折”便发挥了作用，结果学步时就跌倒了，这时候，毅力与耐力也随之提高，爬了起来，指针便指向了“成功”。

我十分爱看书，每次看得如痴如醉，如饥似渴，从中汲取有用的东西。莎士比亚说“书籍是全世界的营养品”。像我这样对看书到沉迷的少年，它的功用更是不言而喻。醉心阅读使我得到了报偿。我的作文不再千篇一律，每一篇都别出心裁，与众不同，常常受到老师的好评。真是“读书破万卷，下笔如有神”，现在觉得“一日无书，百事荒芜”啊！
