在森林深处，住着一只小猴，叫乐乐，她顽皮、善良，是大家的好朋友。
一天，森林宣传栏里贴出了一张海报：一个星期后将在森林游乐园里举行选美大赛，每个动物都可以参加。乐乐知道后十分高兴，便回家去准备了。可是来到镜子前，乐乐才知道自己是如此的丑陋：那样大的嘴，那样小的眼睛，那样难看的毛。乐乐闭上眼睛，小声地自言自语：“看来这次选美比赛我是没有希望了。”说完，她便到森林里去散步了。

到了选美比赛的那一天，小鱼、小兔、小花猫和以前被乐乐帮忙过的小动物都推荐乐乐，最终，乐乐被评选为森林最美动物。
