One day, Paula and Richard decided to make a kite.
First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.

暑假里，我在小记者工作室的组织下在巴萨诺比萨店里当了一次比萨师傅。我和小朋友们兴致勃勃来到了比萨店，我们一个个手忙脚乱地穿上围裙，再洗了洗手，然后围着桌子，各自找了位置坐下来。叔叔端上来一个个雪白的小“馒头”，这是已经发酵好的面团，大家拿到白白胖胖的.小面团之后，叔叔教我们把面团在黄色的玉米粉里打个滚，然后不停地搓揉，让它变成一张薄薄的面饼，放在烤盘上，再用叉子戳上小洞，是为了防止面皮鼓起来，叔叔又给每位“小师傅”发了番茄酱，我用勺子把酱轻轻地、均匀地涂抹在整个饼上，再撒上香喷喷的培根、蘑菇香肠和洋葱，最后，在披萨的最上面铺上黄色的芝士片。至尊披萨大功告成！进入了最后一道工序—烤披萨。阿姨告诉我们烤披萨要十五分钟。
“小师傅”们端着披萨，排着队，一一地把披萨交给阿姨。在这漫长的十五分钟里，“小师傅”们有的静静地期待，有的交头接耳。我既兴奋，又好奇！时间一分一秒地过去了，终于等到这一刻啦！新鲜的披萨出炉啦！我接过亲手做的披萨，那香气顿时扑鼻而来，馋得我真想马上咬一口。我端到妈妈的面前，邀请妈妈和我一起品尝，酸酸甜甜的，真好吃！妈妈也夸我的手艺不错。
