今天，我读了《我的房东》这篇文章。主要讲了：“我留学时租住的房东是个很特别的人。他十分富有但又十分吝啬。我刚开始不了解他，在他家住了一些时候才知道，他把钱都捐给了慈善机构和一些需要帮助的留学生。在他家租住，他算我的租金很便宜，他家里还有六名中国留学生，他见人就说这都是他的孩子。一次，我和他去散步，他一出门就捡垃圾，把别人扔的果皮、纸屑扔进垃圾桶。把易拉罐踩扁放进口袋，说是能卖钱呢。渐渐地我也能理解房东，于是跟它一起捡起垃圾来。后来，我才知道每个星期天出门捡垃圾是房东先生一定要干的。
读完这篇文章，我觉得富有的房东先生做的很好。他用大量的钱去帮助别人，而自己却过着和普通人一样节俭的日子。“赠人玫瑰，手有余香”这句话说的就是像房东先生一样的人，我相信他也一定过得非常快乐。
