暑假的一天，小姑妈让表哥和我去参观上海博物馆。上海博物馆新馆位于上海市的中心，人民广场的南侧。是中华文化精华的宝库，也是上海社会文明、文化的象征和窗口。
上海博物馆新馆的整幢建筑是上圆下方的造型，寓意中国的传统说法："天圆地方"。从远处眺望，圆形屋顶加拱门的上部弧线，整座建筑宛如一尊中国古代的青铜器。建筑面积共4万平方米，地下一层半，地面四层半，建筑总高度为29.5米。
我和表哥迫不及待地走了进去。哇！博物馆里面的人真多呀，有来自五湖四海的外国朋友，也有许多是中国各地来的参观者。
看了简介，我知道了上海博物馆陈列面积共计12000平方米，一楼为中国古代青铜馆、中国古代雕塑馆和展览大厅；二楼为中国古陶瓷馆、暂得楼陶瓷馆和展览厅；三楼为中国历代书法馆、中国历代绘画馆、中国历代玺印馆；四楼为中国古代玉器馆、中国历代钱币馆、中国明清家具馆、中国少数民族工艺馆和展览厅。但是，还有些是没有开放的，所以我们没有全部都参观过。
给我印象最深的是一楼的古代青铜馆，因为我和表哥都算是这一个馆参观得最仔细了，也是唯一把全部都参观过的一个。在那里面，我知道了青铜器是所有文物中比较重要的一类，而在中国这一点尤其突出。青铜器以其量大、精品多、艺术与科学价值高而饮誉海内外，因此青铜器的鉴定也成为文物鉴定中最重要的一门学问。
听说我们中国的青铜器数量繁多，其原因也在于它的数量太大，到处都有，难以确知。
青铜器不但数量多，而且造型丰富，品种繁多。有酒器、食器、水器、乐器、兵器、农具与工具、车马器、生活用具、货币、玺印，等等。单在酒器类中又有爵。角、觯、斝、尊、壶、卣、方彝、觥、罍、眀、勺、禁等二十多个器种，而每一器种在每个时代都呈现不同的.风采，同一时代的同一器种的式样也多姿多彩，而不同地区的青铜器也有所差异，犹如百花齐放，五彩缤纷，因而使青铜器具有很高的观赏价值。青铜器有不同凡响的吸引力。
参观着，我发现这些青铜器有一个显著的特点，就是在青铜器上铸刻文字，而这些文字正是金文。
过了2、3个小时，我和表哥就把博物馆参观完了。博物馆里陈列的物品可真多呀，其中有的是捐赠的，有的是什么地方出土的，还有的是借展的等等，看得我目不暇接，眼花缭乱。

Yesterday was Father's Day. I had planned to give my father a present. But I didn't remember it until in the morning.It was too late to post a card to him. So I decided to buy something. When I was in the department store. I found it was not easy for me to choose something right for him. Suddenly I
got an idea. I ran home and opened my computer. I made a beautiful card and mailed him through the Internet. then I began to make supper. When father came home, he was very glad to find a big meal on the table. then I asked him to check his e-mail. He was amazed to find a beautiful card in his e-mail-box.
What a wonderful surprise!
