“好吃不不如饺子，舒服不如躺着。”这是民间的一句俗语，饺子是中国的一种传统面食，它固然好吃，但它的制作过程也是非常繁琐的。
首先，准备工作要做好。和面，拌馅儿都要一一细致地准备好，和面时要水与面要按一定比例加入，面既不能像烙饼的面那么硬，也不能像面汤那样软，和面不能是面，面是饺子好吃不好吃的关键之一；其次是拌馅儿，馅料可以分出许多种：如素馅儿的——韭菜鸡蛋；肉馅的——猪肉大葱的。只要喜欢就可以做馅儿，拌馅儿除了盐、酱油等调味品外还可以加入少量的酒和鸡蛋清提鲜。
其次，制作饺子皮，擀皮包饺子，先要把皮擀成圆形的，不要擀成方形的、菱形的，要把皮擀成近似圆形的，然后把馅儿包进皮里，这貌似简单，但很不简单，为了不让煮后的饺子成面汤，一定要把饺子边捏紧，包好的饺子就像一个大元宝。
最后，煮饺子时，饺子漂在水面上，才可以出锅；这样美味的饺子上桌，别忘了吃的时候加点醋。
