冬天的北风呼呼地吹，一条小河的水面冻上了一层薄薄的冰，一条小鱼儿在冰下游来游去。
一天，两个人来到这条小河边，说着话：“你去看过北极光吗?听说美极了。”
小鱼听到了，它便有了一个念头，要去北极看北极光。
于是，小鱼游起来，游呀游，它看到了很多新奇的东西，于是它这里玩玩，那里玩玩，最终它迷路了。
它伤心地哭着，一只小海豹看见了，问：“你怎么哭了?”
小鱼说：“我想去北极看北极光，可是我迷路了。”
“啊，我们也去北极呢。”小海豹热情地说。
小鱼高兴地说：“你们可以带我去北极吗?“
”当然可以啦!我们是朋友不是吗?我不会吃你的，因为朋友不能吃，但别的不是我朋友的小鱼我会吃。”小海豹说，“我们走吧。”
小鱼和海豹一家走了，它们游到一片海域，看到一个虎鲸妈妈推着一个一动不动的虎鲸宝宝，小鱼和小海豹觉得很奇怪，便去问。虎鲸妈妈说：“这孩子才到这个世界三天就被垃圾给害了。”看到虎鲸妈妈流下泪水，小鱼和小海豹也流下泪水。
它们继续往前游，突然，有一股巨大的风刮起来，而且是旋转的，原来这是龙卷风，它们被卷到龙卷风的旋涡里转来转去，最后它们被抛回海里，逃过一劫。
最后，小鱼终于来到了北极，天空中好像有无数条彩带被谁挥来挥去，是那么绚烂，小鱼看呆了，小海豹轻声地说：“多美的极光啊!”
