People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.人们去旅游有的乘飞机、有的坐火车、坐船、乘公共汽车。对我来说在暑假，最好的方式是徒步旅行。
My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. 星期日下午，风和日丽，阳光明媚，我随着汇华作文的老师和同学们来到了古城公园。
我们踏着宽阔的板石路，登上了石头台阶，来到了名人广场，在名人广场的北边有59米长的名人画墙，每个名人画像下都有他们的个人简历和他们的丰功伟绩。其中给我印象最深的`是大汉英雄卫青、春秋霸主晋文公、割股救主介子推。他们在我心中留下了深深的印象。
返身走下广场，我们来到了元代戏台。元代戏台造型古朴、高大雄伟，在元代戏台的左右两侧，都雕刻着九个形态各异，栩栩如生的脸谱。
绕过元代戏台，来到了吊桥。走在吊桥上面晃晃悠悠的，在吊桥上面看平阳湖水，我感觉湖水真清啊，清的看见周围的倒映，湖水真静啊，静的像一面镜子；湖水真绿啊，绿得像一块碧绿的翡翠。在吊桥下面有许多五颜六色的小船，这样的景象让我想起了“舟行碧波上，人在画中游。”这首诗。
我们来到了龙牛广场，在龙牛广场雕刻着两座龙牛合二为一的雕塑。龙是着中华人民的象征，牛代表着勤勤恳恳的人民。龙牛合二为一就象征着临汾人民盛世腾飞。
接着，我们踏着宽宽的石板路，迎着微微的秋风，我们来到了古城展示台，古城展示台上面有青铜微缩铸造的古城旧貌，在上面我们找到了鼓楼，我们从上往下看，可以看到古城公园大半部分的景色，这样的湖倒映着这样的树，这样的树环绕着这样的湖，路上的行人络绎不绝，景色美不胜收。
我们走在去瀑布的路上，虽然我们还没看到瀑布，可是却听到了瀑布的声音“哗哗，哗哗”。我们来到高大雄伟的瀑布前，瀑布的水“涮涮”的往下流，水落在石头上溅起了水花，水花四处乱飞，溅到我们的身上。这让我想起了李白的“飞流直下三千尺，疑是银河落九天”。
再见了！美丽的古城公园！有机会我还会再来的！祝你越来越美丽。
