端午节这天一早，便被一片莫名的杂声乱醒。
走出了房，便看见母亲正飞快地包着粽子，抽出茶叶片，挖一勺子糯米，往里塞些果儿，再拿线一缠一系……不一会儿，便有了一大锅。在旁观看的我也不禁手痒起来，便请求试包一个。母亲同意了，我装模作样地摆出架子，抽出一片叶子，挖一勺子米，塞了些果儿，可就是缠不好线。我向妈妈望去，希望她能够给予帮助。
那知，却听到一句：“自己包的自己吃。”我心里想：有什么大不了，我一定可以包好，可一下子用力过度，包入的果子从中挤了出来，没法儿，只好再拿一片叶儿，紧紧封住了口。“呵，你包的粽子放在锅里最显眼。”妈妈笑道，我吃了满肚子气，回到了房间，翻开了早放在床头的关于屈原的书，不一会儿便沉入了屈原的世界中。读到屈原的好时，不禁喜从心来；读到屈原的困境时，便潸然泪下。与屈原同喜同忧，共解困境，甚至把屈原当作同伴，与他说笑谈话。
直到那在火上煮着的粽子迫不及待地嚷嚷时，我才回到“家中”，跑去关掉火。打开锅盖，清香扑面而来，果然，最显眼的是我包的那个粽子。盛些上盘子，端到餐桌上，那香气，引得每个人馋涎欲滴。我们一家人围坐在餐桌旁，一边吃粽子一边谈话，好不快活。不一会儿，盘中便只剩下了那一堆粽叶。
说笑声，吵闹声，直到天黑才停了下来。啊，那以后，妈妈包的粽子都不及那次的好吃了，家中的说笑也不及那次的有趣了。
