不论什么时候我们也不可小视自然界，看似“温柔”的它有时也会轻易地夺去我们的生命。北京大学山鹰社学生攀登珠峰不幸遭遇雪崩，可可西里自然保护区索南达杰保护站发生的青年志愿者冻事件……听到这样的消息我们不禁会感到惋惜，多么年轻的生命，却被毫不留情地吞噬了。但这些悲惨事情的发生却又像警钟一样提醒了我们：年轻与勇气并不代表可以征服一切，想要挑战自然，不能仅凭勇气与热情，更需要丰富的阅历和经验。
是的，伟大的航海家总是从一名普通的水手逐渐成长起来的。这期间的过程可以看作是大海对他的锤炼，让他懂得什么是危险，怎样去克服危险。当多年的航海经验的积累到一定程度时，他才可能做一名真正勇敢的船长，去实现征服大海的理想。这种磨炼是不可省的，任何征服自然的勇气只有建立在牢固的基础上才具有力量，否则你的勇气只能算作一种冲动，会被大自然轻易地消释。
生命本身就是珍贵的，真正的勇气不会置自己的性命于不顾，而去做那些徒劳的牺牲。探险不等于冒险，也许我们每个人心中都会有探索自然的'向往，但这需要理性的支持。所以，我们就必须认真思考后再行事，不要将一时的冲动当作是可以支持整个人生精神力量的勇气。年轻的北大学子们可能平时比较爱好攀登，参加这类活动也比较多，但这离攀登真正的险峰还有很长的距离，敢于作出这样的挑战固然可敬，但不能视生命为儿戏，连许多登山专家都要认真准备才能攻克的险峰，岂是凭你那点经验和知识所能征服的？
总之，有勇气是挑战自然的必要条件，但绝不是全部，实力和经验才是最关键的。
