首先，自己旅游的话我可以更有选择地安排我的时间和路线。比如，当我去到我非常想去的`地方的时候，我可以选择待久一点，也不用考虑其他人。其次，为了节省时间，跟团的行程都比较赶，游客在每个景点停留的时间很短，很难仔细欣赏每处风景。另外，为了获得折扣，一些旅行社强制游客进行消费。同时，自己旅行更便宜得到更多乐趣。最后，旅游的目的是为了放松，但是很多人说跟团旅游没有真正使他们放松，反而更累了。

上巳节还演化出一段“曲水流觞”的逸事。魏晋时，士大夫在祓禊的同时，还要举行水滨宴会，谈文作赋，饮酒取乐。饮酒时，要将酒杯置于流水之中，酒杯随水流动，到谁的面前，就要饮酒吟诗。这个活动，在著名书法家、文学家王羲之的《兰亭集序》中被记为“曲水流觞”。曲水流觞的活动还远传到日本，形成日本的曲水宴与洗尘礼仪。
